Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the Service of Notices by Telegraph.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and by the regulations made on the 12th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 21st May, 1914, the following officers, at the addresses set against their names, are hereby appointed Transmitting and Receiving Officers for the purpose of dealing with all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regulations, and of signing such certificates in relation to the service of any such notices as are required or authorized to be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations aforesaid :—

Bonus on Deer Tails in South Island to be discontinued.

IT is hereby notified that the bonus being paid on tails of deer destroyed in the South Island is being discontinued, and no bonus will be paid on tails received after the 18th June, 1932.

Napier Inner Harbour: Dredging Operations.
Previous Notice: No. 27 of 1930: hereby cancelled.
Position: Lat. 39° 29′ S.; long. 176° 54′ E. (approx.).
Details: Dredging operations are in progress at the entrance to the Inner Harbour, and anchors marked by red or black buoys have been laid to the eastward and westward of the channel line. Masters should approach the entrance on the line of the channel with caution, and pass the dredger on the side from which a black ball is exhibited.

Empire Day to be observed as a Holiday on King’s Birthday.
