Amending Regulations under Section 32 of the Land Act, 1924.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations made under section twenty-four of the Land Act, 1908, on the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the thirtieth day of the same month, at page 1785 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”).


SCHEDULE.

THE principal regulations are hereby amended by adding thereto the following regulation:—

  1. Save with the previous consent in writing of the Commissioner, no person shall take any cat, or cause any cat to be taken, on to the said land.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Hundalee Scenic Reserves Board.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), in trust, for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the Hundalee Scenic Reserves Board, as constituted by notification dated the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.


SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 3, Block IX, and Section 4, Block IX, Mount Fyffe Survey District, containing areas of 26 acres and 66 acres respectively.

Exempting Crown Lands from the Operation of the Mining Act, 1926.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

WHEREAS, by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, exempt any Crown lands from mining, or from any specified mining purpose, or from that Act or any specified provisions of that Act; and that the lands to which any such notice relates shall be specified therein by words of particular description:

And whereas it is desirable that the Crown land specified in the Schedule hereto shall be exempted from the Mining Act, 1926:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Mining Act, 1926, aforementioned, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby exempt the land particularly described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of the Mining Act, 1926; and do also hereby declare that such exemption shall take effect from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 96 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 24 of the subdivision into sections of a portion of the Thames High School Endowment Reserve, Block XII, Aroha Survey District, which said Section 24, commencing at the northernmost corner thereof at the Waiorongomai River is bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said endowment reserve, 3739·7 links; towards the south-east by Section 21 of the said subdivision, 3100 links; towards the south-west by Sections 13 and 25 of the said subdivision to Waiorongomai River; thence by that river to the point of commencement.

Also that area known as the Township of Waiorongomai, containing by admeasurement 60 acres, more or less, being part Section 14 of the subdivision into sections of a portion of Thames High School Endowment Reserve, Block XII, Aroha Survey District, commencing at the northernmost corner thereof and bounded towards the north-east by other part of the said endowment reserve, 2489 links; towards the south-east by the western boundary of Kilgour Street to the southern boundary of Wilson Street; thence along the southern boundary of Wilson Street to the western boundary of Grey Street; thence along the western boundary of Grey Street to the northern boundary of Brodie Street; towards the south-west along the northern boundary of Brodie Street to Section 15; and towards the north-west by Section 15, 3177 links, to the point of commencement: save and excepting Allotments numbers 70 and 71, Block 3, Allotments 81 and 84, Block 4, and Allotments 105, 110A, and 110B, Block 5, of the said Township: also save and excepting the streets in the said township known as McLaren Street, Graham Street, and Kenrick Street between Grey and McLaren Streets to give access to the sections at present occupied in the township and excepted above: also Hill Road and track to mines to give access to the old mines from Graham Street.

As the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked N. 6/61, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Mines, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
