Education Reserve in Taranaki Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands Office, New Plymouth, on Tuesday, 16th February, 1932, at 11 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

Inglewood County.—Huirangi District.

(PRIMARY.)

SECTIONS 236 and part 237: Area, 113 acres 3 roods. Upset annual rental, £40.

This property is situated on the Lincoln Road, about three miles from Inglewood Post-office, railway-station, and sale-yards. About three miles and a quarter from Moa Dairy Factory. Cream wagon passes property. School adjoining the section. Access by good metalled road from Inglewood.

The soil is light loam resting on clay formation. The present condition of the land is, approximately: 14 acres in good pasture, 96 acres in worn-out pasture, 110 acres bush land felled and grassed, 95 acres bush land felled and stumped, 4 acres in natural state. The property is subdivided into six paddocks, and the fencing comprises about 32 chains road-boundary, 40 chains side-boundary, and 60 chains good subdivisional fencing, consisting mainly of barberry. The area comprises level to easy hilly country, practically all ploughable, and could be made into a fairly good dairy farm. It is estimated to carry in its present state: 50 ewes, 15 dairy cows, and 20 steers and heifers. When fully developed it is estimated to carry 40–45 dairy cows and young stock, 2 horses, and 6 sows.
