Temoana Rock Buoy temporarily withdrawn.

Position: Lat. 38° 41°·5 S., long. 178° 01′·2 E. (approx.).

Details: The above light buoy will be withdrawn for overhaul on about the 25th January and temporarily replaced by an unlighted black buoy.

Remarks: Further notice will be given when the lighted buoy is re-established.

Signal-station discontinued.

Position: Lat. 36° 50′ S., long. 174° 48′ E. (approx.).

Details: The signal station on Mount Victoria has been discontinued, but the flagstaff will remain in position. The note “Tel & Sig. Stn.” is to be expunged from the charts.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations thereunder, I, Owen Neil Campbell, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, as Returning Officer for the election of a member of the North Auckland Land Board, do hereby declare the result of the poll taken on the 6th of January, 1932, to be as follows:—

Land in the North Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 11th January, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 15th February, 1932.

The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th February, 1932, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the examination of applicants.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Hokianga County.—Punakitere Survey District.

SECTION 3, Block X: Area, 282 acres. Capital value, £350. Deposit on deferred payments, £20; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £10 14s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £7.

Weighted with £660, for improvements consisting of boundary and subdivisional fences, clearing, and grassing. This sum is payable in cash or by a deposit of £60, the balance being secured by a mortgage under the D.S.S. Act for thirty-four years and a half, with interest and sinking fund at the rate of 6½ per cent. per annum—i.e., £19 10s. half-yearly.

Land is situated on the Wharepunga Road, eleven miles from Kaikohe, five miles from Punakitere School. Cream collected at stand a quarter of a mile distant. Access road is metalled to within two miles; balance formed. Well watered by several permanent streams. Soil is good clay on sandstone formation. Land is undulating to easy rising; 250 acres has been felled and grassed. Two hundred acres is in good, clean pasture. Thirty acres green bush. Subdivided into two paddocks. Suitable for dairying and grazing sheep and cattle.

Land in Marlborough Land District, Marlborough Mining District, for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Blenheim, 11th January, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 7th March, 1932.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, on Thursday, 10th March, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

The land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.


SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—MARLBOROUGH MINING DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Marlborough County.—Onamalutu Survey District.

NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.

SECTIONS 11 and 12, Block I, and Section 1 and Lot 1 of Section 2, Block V: Area, 1,770 acres. Capital value, £305. Half-yearly rent, £6 2s.

Sheep-grazing property situated at the head of the Wakamarina Valley. Access is by track for three miles from the end of the metalled road. Altitude ranges from 300 ft. to 3,000 ft. Land varies from comparatively easy slopes to steep and broken country. Approximately two-thirds of the area is still in birch bush, and balance is in fern, with a sprinkling of native grasses.

Although legal access is provided, the Crown assumes no responsibility for providing a good road or for bridging any stream.
