NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between JOSEPH STANTON, ALEXANDER
HOWAT JOHNSTONE, and ALLAN LEMUEL SPENCE in the
practice of Barristers and Solicitors, carried on under the
name or style of “Stanton, Johnstone, & Spence,” at Selborne
Chambers, O’Connell Street, Auckland, has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the thirty-first day of March, 1931.
The said Allan Lemuel Spence has retired from the firm, and
the said practice will henceforth be carried on at the same
address as heretofore by the said Joseph Stanton and
Alexander Howat Johnstone.

I, RICHARD FROUDE WARD, Manager of the Guardian,
Trust, and Executors Company of New Zealand,
Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £100,000, divided
into 20,000 shares of £5 each. - That the number of shares issued is 20,000.
- That calls to the amount of five pounds (£5) per share
have been made, under which the sum of £100,000 has been
received. - That the amount of all moneys received on account of
estates on the 1st day of January last is £8,512,282 0s. 4d. - That the amount of all moneys paid on account of
estates on that day is £8,494,120 1s. 2d. - That the amount of the balances due to estates under
administration on that day is £18,161 19s. 2d. - That the liabilities of the company as on the 1st day of
January last were £15,082 5s. 6d. - That the assets of the company on that day were
£132,002 11s. 8d. - That the first annual license was issued on the 10th
day of March, 1911.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believ-
ing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an
Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the
Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of sections 230 and
252 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting
of the members of the above-named company will be held at
Akaroa on Thursday, the 26th day of May, 1932, at 7.30 p.m.,
for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing
the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted
and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing
any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and
also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner
in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company
and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the
matter of the CITY BOOT STORES, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of shareholders of the above-named company
held on Tuesday, the 19th April, 1932, the following re-
solution was passed:—
“It having been proved to the satisfaction of the company
that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business,
and that it is advisable to wind up the company known as
the City Boot Stores, Limited, it is hereby resolved that the
said company shall and does hereby go into voluntary liquida-
tion; and for that purpose LEONARD KNIGHT, of Auckland,
Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator
of the Company.”
Creditors of the above-named company are required on
or before the 12th day of May, 1932, to send their names,
addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the
Liquidator, and, if so required by notice in writing, are to
come in and prove their debts or claims, or, in default thereof,
they will be excluded from the benefits of any distribution
made before such debts or claims are proved.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Wairoa Borough
Council at a Meeting of such Council held on the 18th Day of
April, 1932.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Act, 1931, and
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it
enabling, the Wairoa Borough Council hereby resolves as
follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,000 authorized to be raised by
the Wairoa Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Acts for the Council’s proportion of the cost of re-erecting
