Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of Streets in the Borough of Lower Hutt, at Waterloo.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway (Lower Hutt Valley duplication), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of streets:

Now, therefore, I Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become streets, and that the said streets shall be under the control of the Lower Hutt Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 1801, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of April, 1932.

Additional Land at Waikiwi taken for the Purposes of the Invercargill-Kingston Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Invercargill-Kingston Railway to take further land at Waikiwi, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Adjoining or passing through Sections 43, 45, and 46, Block XV, Invercargill Hundred, Southland County. (S.O. R. 630, red.)

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 1543, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of April, 1932.
