AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—DRAINAGE LOAN, 1930, £115,000.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:—
“That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fifteen thousand pounds (£115,000) authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of providing drainage in portions of the city including Avondale Area, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths (15/16ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three (33) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council situate at Kawakawa, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between JAMES BOYD LINDSAY, of Wellington, Commercial Traveller, and RICHARD GOLDSWORTHY RATCLIFF, of Dunedin, Commercial Traveller, carrying on business as Drapers, at 6 Manners Street, Wellington, formerly under the style of “Frances Anderson,” but latterly as “Meg Merrilees,” has been dissolved as from the 17th day of February, 1932.
All debts due to and owing by the above firm will be received and paid by JAMES BOYD LINDSAY, who will continue to carry on the said business.
