Murchison County.—Burnett Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for four years.)
Sections 2 and 7, Block III: Area, 1,828 acres. Capital value, £685 10s. Half-yearly rent, £13 14s. 3d.
Loaded with £190, for improvements comprising 420 acres felling and grassing, 80 chains of fencing, and a four-roomed cottage, in favour of the State Advances Superintendent. This sum is payable in cash, or may remain on mortgage for thirty years, interest 6 per cent.
Situated in the mid Marua Valley, twenty-three miles and a half from Murchison, nineteen miles and a half by metalled road, and four miles by formed bridle track. The section comprises about 160 acres of flat stony terrace land, balance hillside. Soil is fair on flats and poor on hills, resting on sandstone and granite. Well watered. Altitude 700 ft. to 2,400 ft.
Inangahua County.—Mawheraiti Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for four years.)
Sections 14 and 16, Block VIII : Area, 301 acres. Capital value, £112. Half-yearly rent, £2 4s. 9d.
Situated on Addison's Creek in the Upper Grey Valley, about one mile and a quarter from Mawheraiti Railway-station. Access is from Mawheraiti, about three-quarters of a mile distant by formed and metalled road, and for the remainder of the distance there is no track formed. The sections comprise small flats along creek valley and hillside on both sides of creek. The bush in the valley has been felled and burnt, and there is some grass and blackberries on the clearing. Second growth is also appearing. The soil is fair quality in the creek valley, but light on the hillside, resting on sandstone. Well watered.
Inangahua County.—Rahu Survey District.
(Exempt from the payment of rent for five years.)
National-endowment Land.
Section 3, Block XII : Area, 625 acres. Capital value, £250. Half-yearly rent, £5.
This section is situated in the Maruia Valley, thirty-two miles from Reefton by metalled road. Section comprises flat and easy country, and should make a suitable holding. Soil of fair quality, resting on granite. Well watered. No buildings.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 6th May, 1932.
Applicants should appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 10th May, 1932, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board, or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The lands may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

Ashburton County.—Block X, Ashburton Survey District.— Town of Dromore.
SECTION 5, pt. Reserve 1467 : Area, 20 acres. Capital value, £120. Deposit on deferred payments, £10. Deferred payments : Half-yearly instalment, £3 lls. 6d. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £2 8s.
Loaded with £15, for improvements consisting of 34 chains road-boundary fencing, 16 chains subdivisional fencing, and a half-share in 20 chains boundary fencing. This amount is payable in cash.
SITUATED on Akaroa Road about half a mile from Dromore, and about six miles from Ashburton. Comprises light plains land, all flat and ploughable, and is handy to school and railway-station. Watered by county race. Suitable for use as a worker's-home site, and should be capable of carrying five cows when fully developed.
