from the centre-line of the said portion of road.

SCHEDULE.

THE northern side of all that portion of road situated in the
Marlborough Land District, Marlborough County, known as
the New Renwick Road, fronting part Section 20, Omaka,
Block XV, Cloudy Bay Survey District. As the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
83575, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Birkenhead
Borough Council.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery
Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said
Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the scenic
reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved
under the said Act) in the Birkenhead Borough Council, subject
to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say:—

  1. The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby
    vested shall be five years from the date hereof, unless the
    reservation is previously altered or revoked under the said
    Act.
  2. The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending
    on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of
    receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve.
    Such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister charged
    with the administration of the said Act as soon as possible
    after the close of the year.
  3. The said Council shall control the said reserve in accordance
    with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made
    thereunder.

SCHEDULE.

BIRKENHEAD SCENIC RESERVE.—NORTH AUCKLAND LAND
DISTRICT.

ALL that area, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 0 roods
19-5 perches, more or less, being portion of Allotment 149,
Parish of Takapuna, and being all the land on deposited plan
No. 14492, Auckland Registry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 26th day of March, 1932.

Rear-Admiral Geoffrey Blake, C.B., D.S.O.,
to H.M.S. “Diomede” as Rear Admiral Commanding New
Zealand Station and Naval Forces, and as First Naval Member
of the New Zealand Naval Board, to date 1st April, 1932, and
in command in continuation of present appointment.

by the Transport Licensing Act, 1931, I, Joseph Gordon

of one year from the date hereof, the persons described in
the Schedule hereto as members of the District Licensing
Authority for Number 3 Transport District, and I do hereby
appoint Ernest Leslie Walton to be Chairman of the said
authority.

Levin Fire Board.—Cancellation of Unexercised Loan
Authority.

In the matter of section 118 of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926.

WHEREAS the Levin Fire Board has been duly authorized to borrow by way of special loan the sum of one thousand three hundred and thirty-four pounds for redeeming the balance of a loan of one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two pounds and one penny which matured on the 1st August, 1930, and the consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loan was given by Order in Council made on the 30th day of June, 1930, and published in the Gazette on the 3rd day of July, 1930, at page 2080:

And whereas, in respect of the said sum of one thousand three hundred and thirty-four pounds, there has been raised and borrowed for the purposes aforesaid the sum of one thousand two hundred and thirty-four pounds, and it has not been found necessary to borrow the whole of the amount so authorized:

And whereas the Minister of Finance has duly notified the Levin Fire Board in writing of his intention to cancel the loan authority in so far as it has not been exercised:
