In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and in the matter of the disposal of a certain fund held by the Auckland Fire Board, and known as “The Jones Trust Fund.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland for the approval of a scheme for the administration of the above fund, and will be heard in the Judge’s Chambers at the Supreme Court, Auckland, on Friday, the 8th day of April, 1932, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.

The said scheme is open for inspection to the public at the said Court without fee or charge.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company held on the 1st day of February, 1932, the following resolutions were duly carried and confirmed as a special resolution at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company on the 18th day of February, 1932:—

“That the company go into voluntary liquidation.”

“That Messrs. W. R. HAYWARD and D. S. BUCHANAN be appointed Liquidators of the company.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 8th day of April, 1932, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims to Messrs. W. R. Hayward and D. S. Buchanan, the Liquidators of the said company, at the registered office of the company, 141 George Street, Dunedin, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidators, or by their solicitors, to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned JAMES RUSSELL, JAMES CHARLES FINLAYSON RUSSELL, and JOHN EDWARD RUSSELL, in the trade or business of General Storekeepers and Grocers, carried on at No. 62A Northland Road, in the City of Wellington, under the style of “J. Russell and Son,” was dissolved by mutual agreement on the 19th day of February, 1932. All debts due to the late firm will be received by Mr. J. C. F. Russell, by whom the business will in future be carried on at the same premises.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RATE ON UNIMPROVED VALUE.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that, at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Petone, taken on the 9th day of March, 1932, on the proposal that the system of rating on the unimproved value shall apply to water rates, gas rates, electric-light rates, sewerage rates, and hospital and charitable-aid rates, as well as to other rates leviable under the Rating Act, 1925, in the Borough of Petone,—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 568
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 708
Informal .. .. 8

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following entry in the company’s minute-book, dated 1st March, 1932, has been duly signed by all of the shareholders of the company:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and its amendments, and that ERNEST VALENTINE QUICK, of Hamilton, Accountant, be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up, and that the Liquidator’s fee in connection with winding up and liquidation be the sum of £25 (twenty-five pounds).”
