SANCTUARIES.
It is illegal, without the authority of the Minister of Internal Affairs, to take any dog or firearm on to a sanctuary, or to discharge any firearm or explosive thereon, or to do anything likely to cause any bird or animal to leave a sanctuary.
Every person who unlawfully takes or kills any bird or animal on a sanctuary is liable to a fine of £10 for such offence, and to a further fine of £1 for each animal or bird so taken or killed.

Open Season for Native Game, License Fee, &c., Ashburton Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 2nd day of May to the 31st day of July, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Ashburton Acclimatization District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 17, of 12th March, 1925, at page 749, except in the areas referred to in the Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following native game—viz., grey duck and black swan; and the period from the 2nd day of May to the 8th day of May, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the said district except as above for the taking or killing of the following native game—viz., paradise duck—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

Licenses to take or kill such native game only within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the Secretary of the Ashburton Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.

The number of such native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day shall not exceed twenty-five head in all of grey duck, black swan, and paradise duck: Provided that not more than ten head of grey duck and five head of paradise duck may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day.

Shooting may begin not earlier than one hour before sunrise and must cease not later than one hour after sunset on each and every day during the open season.

No live birds of any species shall be used as decoys, nor shall more than twenty-five artificial decoys be used at any one time (whether by one or several persons) on any particular water within an area of less than 100 yards square.

No person shall use or cause to be used any motor-vehicle in connection with the taking or killing of native game: Provided that this condition shall not be so construed as to prohibit the use of any motor-vehicle for the purpose of travelling either generally or to or from a rendezvous.

Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.
SCHEDULE.
(1) All that area of land in the Canterbury Land District intersected by the Wakanui Creek, being Rural Sections 15104, 15510, 17411, and 16673, the property of Mr. G. W. Leadley.
(2) All that area of land contained within the boundaries of the Tripp Survey District.

Open Season for Imported Game and Native Game, License Fees, &c., Auckland Acclimatization District.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 2nd day of May to the 30th day of June, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in the Auckland Acclimatization District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 4, of 23rd January, 1930, at page 159, except in the areas referred to in the Schedule hereto, for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., cock pheasants, Californian quail, Australian quail, mallard duck, grey duck, spoonbill duck, and black swan; and the period from the 1st day of February to the 31st day of March, 1933, to be an open season in the said district for the taking or killing of the following native game—viz., godwits and knots—subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.

Licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game, including godwits and knots, within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings (20s.) each, and licenses to take or kill the following native game only—viz., godwits and knots—will be issued to any person on payment of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the Secretary of the Auckland Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such Secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.
