That all that part of the County of Vincent defined in
the Second Part of the said Second Schedule is hereby de-
clared to be and shall be an unsubdivided water-supply area,
and shall be known as the "Conroys Water-supply Area." -
That all that part of the County of Vincent defined in
the third part of the said Second Schedule is hereby declared
to be and shall be an unsubdivided water-supply area, and
shall be known as " The Clyde Water-supply Area," and that
such water-supply area shall be a town area for the purposes
of subsection (3) of section 4 of the Mining Amendment Act, -
That all that part of the County of Vincent defined in
the fourth part of the said Second Schedule is hereby declared
to be and shall be an unsubdivided water-supply area, and
shall be known as "The Matakanui Water-supply Area." -
That this special order shall take effect on the date of
being published in the Gazette.

Mining Privileges in respect of Water.
A. At Bannockburn : Licenses for Water-races Numbers
1731/5/5/1905, 1727/4/5/1905, 7831/22/4/1897, 1842/16/12/
1905, 1843/16/12/1905, 1841/16/12/1905, 4279/14/11/1923,
and 4280/14/11/1923, all granted at Cromwell, together with
licenses for dams and various other privileges in respect of
water.
B. At Conroys : Licenses for Water-races Numbers 2088
and 2089/18/3/1920, granted at Alexandra, together with
licenses for dams and various other privileges in respect of
water.
C. At Clyde : Licenses for Water-races Numbers 850/9/12/
1912 and 1589/15/3/1897, granted at Clyde, together with
licenses for dams and various other privileges in respect of
water.
D. At Matakanui : Licenses for Water-races Numbers 291/
28/5/1903, 301/28/5/1903, 308/19/6/1903, 289/28/5/1903,
299/28/5/1903, 427, 293/28/5/1903, 303/28/5/1903, 306/28/
5/1903, 305/28/5/1903, and 295/28/5/1903, all granted at
Blacks, together with licenses for dams and various other
privileges in respect of water.
THE SECOND SCHEDULE BEFORE REFERRED TO.
PART I.
Bannockburn Water-supply Area.
All that area of land situate in the Land District of Otago,
being the Township of Bannockburn, parts of Cromwell and
Bannockburn Survey Districts, in the Carrick Riding of the
County of Vincent, bounded as follows: Commencing at a
point being the south-eastern corner of Section 7, Block IV,
Bannockburn District, thence in a northerly direction along
the eastern boundaries of Sections 7, 6, 4, and 2, Block IV,
Bannockburn District, bounded towards the east by parts
of Runs 339D and 330B; thence by a line running in a north-
westerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 1, Block
IV, Bannockburn District; thence in a south-westerly direction
to the south-west corner of Section 1, Block IV, Bannockburn
District; thence in a north-westerly direction to the north-
west corner of the said Section 1, Block IV, Bannockburn
District; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-
western boundary of said Section 1, Block IV, Bannockburn
District, to Shepherd's Creek ; thence in a northerly direction
along the said creek to the block-line between Block I, Crom-
well District, and Block I, Bannockburn District; thence in a
westerly direction along the said block-line to the Bannock-
burn-Cromwell Road; thence in a north-easterly direction
following the west side of the said Cromwell-Bannockburn
Road to the Kawarau River; thence along the southern bank
of the Kawarau River in a north-westerly direction to Long

south-east boundary of said Section 33, Block I, Bannockburn

thence in a southerly direction along the west boundary of
Section 22, Block I, Bannockburn District; thence in a
south-westerly direction to a point on the boundary between
Runs 330A and 330B a distance of seven (7) chains in a north-
westerly direction from the main Bannockburn-Nevis Road;
thence in a southerly direction to the north-west corner of
Section 3, Block IV, Bannockburn District; thence in a
southerly direction to the south-west corner of Section 3,
Block IV, Bannockburn District; thence in an easterly
direction to the north-west corner of Section 5, Block IV,
Bannockburn District; thence in a southerly direction along
the western boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Bannockburn
District, to Smith Road; thence in a south-westerly direction
along the south-eastern side of Smith Road to the south-west
boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Bannockburn District;
thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western
boundary of said Section 5, Block IV, Bannockburn District;
thence in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern
boundaries of Sections 5 and 8, Block IV, Bannockburn
District, to the south-west boundary of Section 6, Block IV,
Bannockburn District; thence in an easterly direction along
the south boundary of Section 6, Block IV, Bannockburn
District, to Jackson Road; thence in a southerly direction
along the western boundaries of Sections 6 and 7, Block IV,
Bannockburn District; thence in a north-easterly direction
along the south-eastern boundary of Section 7, Block IV,
Bannockburn District, to the point of commencement:
which said area comprises and includes parts of Runs 330A,
330B, and 330D; the whole of the Township of Bannockburn;
Sections 9, 12, 75, 80, 84, 85, 87, 88, and 93, Block I, Cromwell
Survey District; Sections 21, 28, 31, 32, 33, Block II, Crom-
well Survey District; Sections 4, 8, 9, 15, 16, 19, 21, 22, 23,
24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 31A, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, and 40, Block
I; Sections 31 and 34, Block II; and Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, Block IV, Bannockburn Survey District, together also
with Crown lands in the said Survey Districts of Cromwell
and Bannockburn: and which said area is more particularly
delineated on the plan of the said water-supply area deposited
in the office of the Vincent County Council at Clyde, and
therein edged with a red colour, as comprised and described
in a certain special order of the Vincent County Council passed
on the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-one, and confirmed on the twenty-eighth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
one, and therein referred to as "The Bannockburn Special
Rating Area," such piece of land to be hereafter known
as "The Bannockburn Water-supply Area."
PART II.
Conroys Water-supply Area.
All that area of land situated in the Land District of Otago,
being parts of Blocks I and III, Fraser District, in the Earns-
cleugh Riding of the County of Vincent, bounded as follows :
Commencing at a point on the Clyde-Roxburgh Road at
the north-eastern corner of Section 10, Block III, Fraser
Survey District; thence in a southerly, westerly, northerly,
and easterly direction round the boundary of the said Section
10 to the southern corner of Section 55, Block I, Fraser
Survey District; thence in a northerly, easterly, and southerly
direction round the boundary of said Section 55 to a point
on the western boundary of the Clyde-Roxburgh Road;
thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary
of the said road to a point opposite the northern corner of
Section 5, Block I, Fraser Survey District; thence in an
easterly direction across a county road to the south-western
corner of Section 1, Block I, Fraser Survey District; thence
in an easterly direction along the Clyde-Alexandra Road to
the south-western corner of Section 65, Block I, Fraser Survey
District; thence in a northerly direction along the western
boundary of the said section to its junction with the boundary-
line between Leaning Rock and Fraser Survey Districts;
thence in an easterly direction along the boundary between
Leaning Rock and Fraser Survey Districts to a point on the
eastern boundary of Section 83, Block X, Leaning Rock Dis-
trict; thence in a southerly and westerly direction along the
northern boundary of the access road to Section 83 to a
point on the north-eastern corner of Section 65, Block I,
Fraser Survey District; thence in a southerly direction
along the eastern boundary of the said Section 65 to a point
on the Clyde-Alexandra Road; thence in an easterly direction
along the northern boundary of the said road to a point
opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 67, Block I,
Fraser Survey District; thence across a county road in a
southerly, westerly, and northerly direction to the north-west
corner of the said Section 67; thence in a westerly direction
along the southern boundary of the Clyde-Alexandra Road
to the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block I, Fraser
Survey District; thence in a southerly and westerly direction
along the boundaries of Sections 4 and 3, Block I, Fraser
Survey District, to a point on the Clyde-Roxburgh Road;
thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary
of the said road to the junction of the Alexandra-Conroys
Road; thence in an easterly direction along the northern
boundary of the said road to a point opposite the northern
corner of Section 78, Block I, Fraser Survey District; thence
across a county road in a southerly direction along the boun-
dary of said Section 78 to a point on the north-western corner
of Section 10; thence in an easterly direction along the boun-
dary of said Sections 10 and 76, Block I, Fraser Survey Dis-
trict, to a point where it joins the Alexandra-Conroys Road;
