at a fee of three guineas.”

UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928.

In the matter of the taking, under the said Act, by the
Greymouth Borough Council, of certain lands for the
purposes of a cemetery.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Grey-
mouth Borough Council to take for the purposes of a
cemetery the land described in the Schedule hereto: And,
further, notice is hereby given that the plan of the lands so
required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Town
Clerk at the Town Hall, Greymouth, and is there open for
inspection, and that all persons affected by the taking of the
said lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections
to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing
and send such writing within forty days from the first publica-
tion of this notice to the Greymouth Borough Council, at its
offices at the Town Hall, Greymouth.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece or parcel of land, containing 2 acres 0 roods
15 perches, situated in the Land District of Westland, being
Sections numbered 1019 and 2571, Block XII, Survey District
of Greymouth, and shown on the plan coloured pink.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £400 authorized to be raised by the
Egmont County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
draining, forming, culverting, and metalling a portion of the
Punoho Road (Upper) from its junction with the Okahu Road
in an easterly direction for a distance of about 160 chains,
the said Egmont County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one penny and one-third of one penny (1⅓d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property
of the Punoho Road (Upper) Special Rating District as
described in the Schedule hereunder, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

Subs. 10, 11, and 12 of Section 6, part Sub. 13 of Section 6,
all of Block X, and Section 3, Block XI, all in Cape Survey
District.
