CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Land in North Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th February, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section will be offered for sale for cash or on deferred payments by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, the 21st March, 1932, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Waimata County.—Wairi Ihumel.

SECTION 83 : Area, 3 acres 2 roods 29 perches. Upset price, £350.

Loaded with £100, for improvements consisting of a gable house (in poor condition) containing four rooms and two lean-tos. This amount may be paid in case or by half-yearly instalments of principal and interest of £4 10s. 4d. over a period of fifteen years.

Section is situated on Awaru Road, and is approximately one mile to a mile and a half from Henderson Post-office, school, and railway-station, and one mile and a quarter from the Oratia Railway-station. Easy undulating land, with a small gully across north-east corner. All more or less ploughable. Elevation approximately 75 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level. Soil is of clay loam of fair quality resting on sandstone formation. Section is watered by a swampy stream. Three acres worn-out pasture, balance formerly a garden but now overgrown; 26½ chains of road and boundary fencing, in poor condition. Property suitable for a homestead for a working-man.

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 16th February, 1932.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 18th April, 1932.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, the 20th April, 1932, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of the applicants.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Ohura County.—Tangitu Survey District.

SECTION 8, Block X : Area, 735 acres 0 roods 3 perches. Capital value, £520. Half-yearly rent, £10 8s.

After payment of first half-year’s rent, lease fee, and broken period rent (if any), no further rent will be payable for a period of two years, provided improvements to the value of £52 are effected annually during the exemption period.

Improvements comprise—House (three rooms), about 360 chains fencing, and clearing and grassing.

The property is situated on the service road about three miles from the Ongarue Railway-station.

The land is on pumice formation, and approximately 70 acres is flat land in front. About 300 acres to 400 acres ploughable. No standing bush. The grass is scattered.

Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained on application to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, New Plymouth.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be offered for sale for cash or on deferred payments by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Tuesday, 15th March, 1932, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SUBURBAN LAND.
Waimarino County.—Town of Nivla Extension No. 1.

SECTIONS 1, 2, and 4, Block III : Area, 30 acres. Upset price, £60.

Weighted with £90, for improvements consisting of felling, grassing, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

SECTIONS 1 to 6, Block II : Area, 40 acres. Upset price, £80.

Weighted with £120, for improvements consisting of felling, grassing, and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

SECTIONS 2, 4, 7, 9, and 11 to 14, Block I : Area, 14 acres. Upset price, £28.

Town of Nivla.

SECTION 37, Area: 53 acres 1 rood 15 perches. Upset price, £108.

Weighted with £23 10s., for improvements. This sum is payable in cash.

The Town of Nivla is situated on the North Island Main Trunk Railway about eight miles from Ohakune Railway-station.

All sections are practically level, and are sown down in grass with patches of tussock.

Section 37 consists of about 30 acres of flax swamp which could be drained at small cost.

The soil consists of a fair-quality loam. Permanently watered.

Altitude approximately 2,000 ft. above sea-level.

Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 24th March, 1932.

The land in the First Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

The lands in the Second Schedule are available for selection on renewable lease only.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 10.30 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, 30th March, 1932, but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately after the examination of applicants.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rangitikei County.—Ruahine Survey District.

(Exempt from rent for two years.)

SECTION 1, Block VI : Area, 798 acres. Capital value, £500. Deposit on deferred payments, £25; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £15 8s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £10.

Weighted with the sum of £492, for improvements, in favour of the Superintendent, State Advances. A cash deposit of £12 is required, the balance to be secured on instalment mortgage.

Situated in the Upper Kawatua Valley, twenty-two miles from Mangaweka by twenty miles of metalled road and two miles of clay road. About 15 acres of flat land, balance undulating to hilly and steep. All beech country.

About 15 acres of flat and 130 acres of hillside have been felled and grassed, balance in natural state.

Soil of a light chocolate loam resting on shingle and papa formation. Well watered. Altitude 1,800 ft. to 3,200 ft. above sea-level.

Improvements consist of felling and grassing 145 acres, slab whare with iron roof, and 47 chains of fencing.
