Hauraki Plains Rating District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates.

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1926, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1932, unpaid on 29th February, 1932. Rates may be paid at any money-order office, or to the Collector of Rates, Post-office Box 1669, Auckland.

Additional Land included in Tauranga Development Scheme.
WHEREAS notice was published in the Gazette of 1931, page 3464, of the Native Minister's intention to apply the provisions of subsection 3 of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929, to Kaitimako A and other blocks, and known as the Tauranga Development Scheme: Now, therefore, I, the said Native Minister, do decide to apply the provisions of section 522 of the Native Land Act, 1931, to the additional land mentioned in the Schedule hereto as a part of such scheme, and hereby give notice of my intention accordingly.
No owner, except with the consent of the Native Minister is entitled to exercise any rights of ownership in connection with the land affected so as to interfere with or obstruct the carrying-out of the development scheme.

Fixing the Amount of Special Orchard-tax payable in the Marlborough Commercial Fruit-growing District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3018.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsection (3) of section 4 of the Orchard-tax Act, 1927, I, Charles Edward de la Barca Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, hereby order and direct that, in addition to the general orchard-tax payable under section 3 of the said Act, the occupier of every orchard within the Marlborough Commercial Fruit-growing District shall in each year be liable to pay a special orchard-tax calculated at the rate of two shillings and sixpence (2s. 6d.) for every acre or part of an acre comprised in his orchard.

Open Season for Deer, Moose, and Wapiti, Southland Acclimatization District (Fiordland National Park).
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the period from the 1st day of March, 1932, to the 30th day of April, 1932 (both days inclusive), to be an open season in portion of the Southland Acclimatization District for the taking or killing of the following imported game—viz., red-deer stags and hinds, wapiti stags and hinds, and moose bulls and cows—within that part of the said acclimatization district comprising portion of the Fiordland National Park, subject to the following conditions.
CONDITIONS.
NOTWITHSTANDING anything contained in the Warrant made under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, dated the 20th February, 1929, published in the New Zealand Gazette of 21st idem, and in the Warrants published in the New Zealand Gazette of 28th January, 1932, at page 154, and 4th February, 1932, at pages 200 and 201, respectively, red deer (stags and hinds), wapiti (stags and hinds), and moose (bulls and cows) may be taken or killed within the Fiordland National Park, Southland, during the period hereinbefore mentioned, by persons to whom licenses may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill, pursuant to the Warrants published in the New Zealand Gazette of 28th January, 1932, and 4th February, 1932, respectively, declaring an open season for deer, moose, and wapiti shooting, in portion of the Southland Acclimatization District, subject, however, to the conditions fixed in those Warrants.

Date of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Wairoa Fire Board.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, I, Adam Hamilton, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Monday, the 29th February, 1932, to be the date for holding the election of two members of the Wairoa Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignation of Messrs. R. S. Bree and H. F. Forster.
