Regulations under the Government Railways Act.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Government Railways Act, 1926, and its amendments, the Government Railways Board hereby resolves to amend the First Schedule to the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1926, on the 21st day of January, 1930, and published in the Gazette of the 30th day of January, 1930, at page 189, by omitting in each case where they occur after the words “Junior tradesmen” in the respective designation columns for Classes 2 and 3, Second Division, the words “who have served an apprenticeship of less than five years: until completion of five years’ service”; also by inserting in the same columns immediately below the word “Apprentices” in each case the words “6th year” and in the maximum pay column, immediately opposite the words “6th year,” the rate “1s. 7½d.”: And it is hereby resolved that the foregoing amendments shall come into operation on the 6th day of December, 1931.

IN pursuance of the provisions of the Government Railways Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, hereby approves the foregoing resolutions.
