Exempting from the Operation of the Mortgagors Relief Act, 1931, Mortgages of which the Terms or Conditions have been varied, and Floating-charge Debentures.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of December, 1931.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Mort-gagors Relief Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt from the operation of the said Act the following classes of mortgages:
(a) Mortgages executed before the 17th day of April, 1931, of which the terms or conditions have been varied by the parties since that date or are at any time here-after so varied:
(b) Debentures, debenture trust deeds, or other instruments creating a floating charge, whether or not such charge has heretofore become or at any time hereafter be-comes a fixed charge:
Provided that nothing in this paragraph shall exempt any such instrument from the operation of the said Act in respect of any specific charge thereby created.

Exempting certain Native Land from Rates.

WHEREAS under the provisions of section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, and as therein mentioned, the Governor-General may from time to time, for the reasons therein specified, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any part of such rates:
And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of the said Act, and of every other power thereunto him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land named in the Schedule hereto from all rates made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925.
SCHEDULE.
THE following land situate in Block VII, Uawa Survey District, Uawa County:-Mangatuna lg Block : Area, 7 acres 2 roods 27 perches.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Native Land Act, 1909 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1923), it is provided that for the purpose of enabling any scheme of consolidation of the interests of owners of Native land into suitable areas to be prepared and carried into effect the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, prohibit for a period not exceeding twelve months any alienation of Native land in respect of which application has been made by the Native Minister to the Court for the preparation of such a scheme, and that any such Order in Council may be extended from time to time:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend for a further period of twelve months the Order in Council under the said section one hundred and thirty-two, dated the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto.
