Regulations under the Naval Defence Act, 1913, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of November,
1931.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
him by section twenty-five of the Naval Defence Act, 1913, and
of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, the
Governor-General, with the advice of the Executive Council, doth
hereby amend and supplement the regulations referred to in the Schedule
hereto as shown therein.

SCHEDULE.
Regulations for the Government and Payment of the New Zealand
Division of the Royal Navy.
WHERE herein it is provided that changes in conditions of service or
rates of pay shall not have effect on certain personnel until the
lst January, 1932, the conditions of service and rates of pay existing
prior to the date of this Order in Council shall continue in force in respect
of such personnel until and including the 31st December, 1931.
Article 60, paragraph 8 : Cancel whole of item numbered 136.

CHAPTER VI.—FULL PAY AND ALLOWANCES : OFFICERS.
Article 100 : Cancel present article, and substitute :
100. Rates.—The full pay and allowances of officers of the Imperial
or a Dominion Navy lent for service in the New Zealand Division of
the Royal Navy, and of other officers belonging to the New Zealand
Division of the Royal Navy, shall be at the rates prescribed in the
appendices and other parts of these regulations, with the proviso that
the combined pay and allowances of officers loaned from the Imperial
or a Dominion Navy will in no case be less than that payable to them
under the regulations of the Navy from which they are loaned.

Article 106. Deferred Pay and Pensions—Officers : Cancel paragraph 2,
and substitute :
2. As from date of entry in the case of officers entered into the New
Zealand Division on or after the lst October, 1931, and as from the
lst January, 1932, in the case of officers serving on 30th September,
1931, deferred pay shall be payable to other officers of the New Zealand
Division under the conditions shown in Article 134, at the following
rates :

After three years 8 7

An additional allowance of 1s. 10d. per diem is payable to Surgeon-
Commanders, Surgeon Lieutenant-Commanders, and Surgeon Lieutenants.
(This additional allowance is not applicable to dental officers.)
