Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of November, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Recreation Reserve in Southland Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of November, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to, the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereinafter be known as the “Seaward Downs Domain,” and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SEAWARD DOWNS DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 172 acres 0 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Section 70, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred: Bounded towards the north by Section 68, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 3119.8 links; towards the east by Section 5, a public road, Section 6 and Section 7, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 760.1 links, 2387.3 links, and 1403.3 links; towards the south by Section 71, Block VII, and Section 45, Block II, Oteramika Hundred, 4514.8 links; and towards the north-west by Sections 34, 33, 32, and 31, Block II, Oteramika Hundred, 4760 links; save and excepting intersecting tramway reserves, 20 links wide: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/727, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Revoking Order in Council varying Close Season for Seals.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of November, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of the same month, at page 2888, the prescribed close season for seals was varied as therein set forth:

And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section five of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council.

The North-eastern Side of Portion of Glen Road and the South-eastern Side of Portion of Glen Avenue, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of November, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz.:-

“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets in the said City of Dunedin, viz. -

(a) Portion of the north-eastern side of Glen Road abutting on Allotment 322, Glen Estate; and
(b) Portion of the south-eastern side of Glen Avenue abutting on Allotment 322, Glen Estate;

as the said portions of streets are more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto, and are thereon coloured red to their respective centre-lines”;
