NELSON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

Loan of £1,700.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of one thousand seven hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a fire-engine with equipment, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson, as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £28,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges (if any) on a loan of twenty-eight thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making extensions to its gas-manufacturing plant, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three pence and three-sixteenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the annual value) of all rateable property within the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the City of Nelson, as defined by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in one sum on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to construct and form a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at the Drill Hall, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the Public Office of the said Clerk, situate at the Drill Hall, Kapanga Road, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate area of parcels of land to be taken: 6 acres 2 roods 19·5 perches and 3 roods 26·1 perches.

Being portions of Moehau No. 4A Block, situated in Block VIII, Harataunga Survey District, in the County of Coromandel, in the Land District of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the said plan (No. S.O. 25680), and thereon coloured blue.
