A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—
A. R. P. Being Portion of
0 0 17.0 Section 40; coloured green.
0 0 29·6 „ 65; „ violet.
Situated in Block I, Waikouaiti Survey District.
In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 79889, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of January, 1931.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks X and III, Waihua Survey District—viz., Portion of the Waihua Valley Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks X and III, Waihua Survey District—viz., portion of the Waihua Valley Road—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2076, Block X, Waihua Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 63 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Lot 1, D.P. 2076, Block X, Waihua Survey District, Waihua Rural Section 7, Block III, Waihua Survey District—and terminating at a point on the western boundary of the said Waihua Rural Section 7, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Hawke’s Bay Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 80987, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of February, 1931.

Stopping a Government Road in Block III, Rangiriri Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 2 roods 15 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotment 222, Whangamarino Parish.

Situated in Block III, Rangiriri Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25420.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 80031, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of January, 1931.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

WAITARA SURVEY DISTRICT.

RIMUTAUTEKA B 1892 Act Leases, Grant 5208, Sale No. 1: Approximate area, 265 acres 2 roods 16 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of January, 1931.

Altering Districts under the Maori Councils Act, 1900.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three of the Maori Councils Act, 1900, it is provided that the Governor may proclaim any district a Maori District for the purpose of the said Act, and at any time may alter or revoke such Proclamation: And whereas by Proclamation made under his hand on the twenty-sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred, the Governor did proclaim certain districts including, inter alia, Te Arawa District and Matatua District to be Maori Districts for the purpose of the said Act: And whereas by a Proclamation made on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, the boundaries of these districts were altered: And whereas it is desirable to further alter the Proclamation of the said districts so that the districts defined shall exclude Motiti Island from Te Arawa District and include it in the Matatua District:

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by the hereinbefore-recited section of the Maori Councils Act, 1900, and every other power thereunto me enabling, do hereby alter the said Proclamation of the twenty-sixth day of December, one thousand nine hundred, by omitting from the description in the First Schedule of Te Arawa District, as altered by the Proclamation of the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, the words “including Motiti Island,” and by adding to the description of Matatua District the words “and in.
