*Small lots of goods of Classes A, B, C, and D from Wellington to stations Featherston to Masterton (inclusive) will be charged pro rata of the local rate instead of under Reg. 71, General Scale of Charges. Minimum charges :-

Small lots of goods at Classes A, B, C, and D from Wellington to stations Opaki to Port Ahuriri inclusive will be charged pro rata at the local or classified rate (as the case may be), instead of under Regulation 71, General Scale of Charges; minimum charge, 2s.

With the following exceptions, goods consigned from Wellington to Pahiatua, Woodville, Dannevirke, Hastings, Napier, or Port Ahuriri, and charged at the classified or local rate for Classes A, B, C, and D, will be delivered within the area specified by the Department in that behalf.

Exceptions : Pianos, plate glass, motor-cars in cases, household removals, aeroplanes, boats, empty tanks, creamery and freezing vats, theatrical luggage, scenery, show exhibits, side-shows, contractors' plant, all vehicles, fish, any package exceeding 7 cwt. in weight or 20 ft. in length, and packages involving special cartage arrangements.

Benzine, kerosene, and similar mineral oils will not be delivered at Dannevirke.

LOCAL UNIFORM RATES.

Goods of Classes E, F, N, P, Q, R, and artificial manures (Regulation 86, General Scale of Charges) from any station to stations Opaki-Dannevirke (inclusive) will be charged at the local or classified Class D rate, as the case may be, such rate being referred to in the following proviso as the "local uniform rate." Provided, however, that to those persons or bodies of persons (whether incorporated or not) who shall undertake to place with or cause to be placed with the Board the whole of their goods requiring conveyance between places in New Zealand, where in the opinion of the Board it is reasonably practicable for such persons or bodies of persons to have their goods conveyed by railway, the benefit of the classified rates under which such goods would be charged had the local uniform rate not been in operation shall be extended and be payable in all cases where such classified rates shall be cheaper than the local or classified Class D rate, Reg. 69, General Scale of Charges.

Wellington Napier Goods of Class A, ex overseas vessels at Wellington 77s. 8d. per ton dead-weight. This rate is exclusive of the Wellington Harbour Board's transhipment charges and such other charges as may be incurred in respect of the delivery of such goods into railway-wagons at Wellington.
Ngahauranga Wellington Tallow and pelts 3s. 6d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 3 tons per four-wheeled wagon. Owners to load and unload.
