NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the registered office, Civic Chambers, 213 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Monday, 9th February, 1931, at 3 o'clock p.m., for the purpose of having the account of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

INSURANCE COMPANIES DEPOSITS ACT, 1921-1922.--NORWICH AND LONDON ACCIDENT INSURANCE ASSOCIATION.--NOTICE OF CESSION OF BUSINESS.
THE Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association has given written notice to the Public Trustee, pursuant to the provision of the Insurance Companies Deposits Act, 1921-22.
(1) That the Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association has ceased to carry on any class and all classes of insurance business in New Zealand within the meaning of the Insurance Companies Deposits Act, 1921-22, as from the 30th day of June, 1930, except as to policies or contracts granted or made before that date.
(2) That the Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association is merging with and is transferring its business to the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society.
(3) That in all policies taken over on expiry from the Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association, the renewed policy will show that the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society is the contracting party, and no policies will be renewed in the name of the Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice that any objection to the release in accordance with section 8 of the Insurance Companies Deposits Act, 1921-22, of the deposit made by the Norwich and London Accident Insurance Association must be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Wellington, on or before 1st July, 1931.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned EDWARD GEORGE THOMPSON and EDMUND MORGAN HAY, both of Taumarunui, Orchardists, in the trade or business of Nursery-men and Orchardists, carried on at Taumarunui, in New Zealand, under the style of "Thompson and Co.," was dissolved on the 16th day of December, 1930, by mutual consent.
All debts due to and owing by the late firm will be received and paid respectively by the undersigned Edward George Thompson, by whom the business will in future be carried on at Taumarunui as heretofore under his own name.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL ON WEDNESDAY, 21ST JANUARY, 1931.
Resolution making Special Rate of ½d. in the Pound as Security for Loan of £30,400.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,400, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the Roslyn Tramway Loan of £35,000, raised in the year 1921, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one half-penny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

THAT whereas AMALGAMATED BRICK AND PIPE CO., (WELLINGTON), LTD., own the business of Peter Hutson and Co., Ltd., and there is no longer any useful purpose to be served by maintaining the latter company as a separate concern, it is hereby resolved that Peter Hutson and Co., Ltd., be liquidated forthwith.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between FRANK RICHARD GARTON and HAROLD JASON FAWCETT as Wholesale and Retail Fruit Merchants and Packers, at Hastings, under the firm name of "Garton and Co.," has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of January, 1931. The said Harold Jason Fawcett, in partnership with Gordon Oliver McCutcheon, will carry on the business of the late firm at the same premises under the firm name of "Garton and Co.," and will receive and pay respectively all debts due to and owing by the said late firm.
