The Samoa Quarantine Amendment Order, 1931.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October,
1931.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority
to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of Samoa
conferred upon him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby make the
following regulations in amendment of the Samoa Quarantine Order,
1920.
REGULATIONS.

THESE regulations may be cited as “The Samoa Quarantine Amendment Order, 1931,” and shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the Samoa Quarantine Order, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

The principal Order is hereby amended by deleting from clause 18 thereof the words “at the cost of the Samoan Treasury.”

The principal Order is hereby further amended by inserting the following clause after clause 18 thereof:—
“18A. (1) All expenditure incurred by a Medical Officer in accordance with clause 12 or clause 18 hereof shall be paid in the first place out of the Samoan Treasury without further appropriation than this clause, and shall be recoverable as a debt due to the Crown from the owners and agents of the ship jointly and severally.
“(2) If so directed by the Administrator, the Collector of Customs shall not issue a certificate of clearance in respect of any ship unless and until all moneys payable to the Crown under this clause by the owners and agents of that ship have been duly paid.”

Revoking Appointment of Turanga-o-Moana Domain Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of October, 1931.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Turanga-o-Moana Domain.

Notifying Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the sixteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments, and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Taieri County.—Janefield Settlement.
SECTION 27: Area, 10 acres. Capital value, £800. Deposit on deferred payments, £70; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £23 14s. 6d.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 7th day of October, 1931.
