Declaring Waiteata Park, in the Borough of Gisborne, to be
a Sanctuary under the Animals Protection and Game Act,
1921-22, East Coast Acclimatization District.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by section
six of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22
(hereinafter referred to as the “said Act”), I, Charles, Baron
Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby notify and declare the area described in the Schedule
hereto to be a sanctuary for the purposes in the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
WAITEATA PARK: All that area in the Gisborne Land Dis-
trict, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost
corner of Lot 48 on plan 1630, deposited in the office of the
District Land Registrar at Gisborne; thence south-westerly
along the north-western side of Richardson Avenue for a
distance of 998·7 links; thence north-westerly along the
north-eastern side of Russell Street for a distance of 500·7
links; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern bound-
aries of Lots 6 and 9 on plan 1747, deposited in the office of
the District Land Registrar at Gisborne, to the south-western
boundary of Lot 47 on plan 1630 aforesaid; thence south-
easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 47 and
48, on plan 1630 aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of
Lot 48, the point of commencement.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 30th day of September 1931.

Declaring Lakes Tripp and Howard to be Sanctuaries under the
Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, Ashburton
Acclimatization District.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by section
six of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22
hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), I, Charles, Baron
Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby notify and declare the areas described in the
Schedule hereto to be sanctuaries for the purposes of the
said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, situate in
Blocks I and II, Tripp Survey District, and known as Lake
Tripp.
Also all that area situate in Block VI, Tripp Survey Dis-
trict, and known as Lake Howard.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 30th day of September, 1931.

List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the pre-
scribed uniform. Dated 14th September, 1931.

Dated 24th July, 1931.
THE OTAGO REGIMENT.
Lieutenant R. A. McGregor, 1st Battalion, is transferred to
the Southland Regiment. Dated 29th July, 1931.
THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
Lieutenant R. A. McGregor, from the Otago Regiment, to be
Lieutenant, with seniority from the 9th September, 1928,
and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 29th July,
1931.
Bandmaster (Hon. Lieutenant) E. Smith, 1st Battalion,
resigns his commission. Dated 10th September, 1931.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain H. Hutson, M.D., F.R.C.S., Edin., 1st Field Ambu-
lance, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated
9th September, 1931.
Lieutenant L. K. Crow, M.B., 1st Field Ambulance, is trans-
ferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 9th September,
1931.
Edward Baden Watson, M.B., to be Lieutenant, and is

Oswald Ernest Lloyd Rout to be Lieutenant, and is attached
