Land permanently reserved in the Southland Land District for Recreation Purposes.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month, but not later than six months, after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by Warrant dated the ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and published in the Gazette of the eighteenth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto for recreation purposes for which the said land was so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 172 acres 0 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Section 70, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred: Bounded towards the north by Section 68, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 3119·8 links; towards the east by Section 5, a public road, Section 6 and Section 7, Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, 760·1 links, 2387·3 links, and 1403·3 links; towards the south by Section 71, Block VII, and Section 45, Block II, Oteramika Hundred, 4514·8 links; and towards the north-west by Sections 34, 33, 32, and 31, Block II, Oteramika Hundred, 4760 links; save and excepting intersecting tram-way reserves, 20 links wide: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/727, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notifying Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Waitaki County.—Plunket Settlement.
SECTION 22A: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £26.

Opening Lands in the Southland Land District for Sale or Selection.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the seventeenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and also the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do hereby declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the amendments thereof.

SECTION 3, Block X: Area, 89 acres 2 roods 8 perches. Capital value, £310. Deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, £9 11s. 9d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6 4s.
Section 4, Block X: Area, 88 acres 2 roods 32 perches. Capital value, £300. Deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £9 5s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6.
Section 5, Block X: Area, 93 acres 0 roods 6 perches. Capital value, £325. Deposit on deferred payments, £15; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £10 1s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £6 10s.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-one of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.
