Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £3,500 by the Heathcote County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October, 1931.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Heathcote County Council (hereinafter called "the said local authority") proposes, pursuant to the terms of a requisition issued under section twenty-two of the Health Act, 1920, to raise the sum of three thousand five hundred pounds by a loan to be known as "Cashmere Sewerage Loan, 1931," for the purpose of carrying out drainage and sewerage works and connecting the Cashmere sewerage system with the Christchurch Drainage Board's system:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of three thousand five hundred pounds for a term of twenty-five years, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds per centum per annum, subject to the condition that the said local authority shall, before borrowing the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and shall thereafter make to such sinking fund payments at intervals of not more than one year, at a rate or rates which shall be not less than the rate of two pounds two shillings per centum, such payments to be made in respect of every part of the said sum for the time being so borrowed and not repaid, and the first payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender is computed on any moneys so borrowed, and subject to the further condition that no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan-moneys.

Exemption from General Unemployment Levy of Persons Resident in Chatham Islands.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October, 1931.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on him by section nine of the Unemployment Amendment Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt from the general unemployment levy imposed by that Act all persons who are ordinarily resident in the Chatham Islands, and doth hereby declare that the exemption herein prescribed shall in its application to any individual continue to operate unless and until he becomes resident in a part of New Zealand other than the Chatham Islands.

Portion of Agnes Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October, 1931.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz.:—
"That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to both sides of portion of Agnes Street, in the said City of Dunedin, where such portion of street abuts on part Lot 35, Lots 26, 27, 28, 29, and part 30, Block I, and Part Lot 1 and Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block II, Township of Williamsburgh, as the said portion of street is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto and is thereon coloured red";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting either side of the portion of Agnes Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Agnes Street, adjoining or passing through part Lot 35, Lots 26, 27, 28, 29, and part Lot 30, Block I, and part Lot 1 and Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block II, Township of Williamsburgh. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82664, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations under the Government Life Insurance Act, 1908.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October, 1931.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him by the Government Life Insurance Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve and direct the use of the Table set forth in the Schedule hereto.

ADDITIONAL yearly premiums payable upon a policy providing for payment of £100 on the maturity date of the policy, or at death prior thereto, or £100 at death, such additional premiums being payable throughout a selected term or until death if prior thereto, to secure payment of an annuity at the rate of £14 8s. per annum until the end of the selected term from the date of death if prior thereto upon condition that payment of such £100 is deferred until the end of the selected term.

Yearly premiums under the above Tables for ages at nearest birthday at date of assurance and for selected terms of years which respectively are intermediate between those above specified shall be graduated progressively in accordance with the premiums set out above. A premium payable half-yearly, quarterly, or monthly (including four-weekly) shall be a proportionate part of the respective annual premium increased by a percentage of 2½, 5, or 7½ as the case may be.
