All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 25-7 perches, more or less, being portion Provisional State Forest No. 69, by Gazette, 1920, page 924, situated in Block XI, Hastings Survey District : Bounded towards the south-west, west, and north-west by the Coroglen-Tapu Road, 154-6, 205-0, and 384-4 links respectively; and towards the south-east and north-east by Section 51, Block XI, Hastings Survey District, 479-9 and 147-4 links respectively : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/92/66, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,-and thereon edged red. Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 27 perches, more or less, being portion Provisional State Forest No. 69, by Gazelle, 1920, page 924, situated in Block XI, Hastings Survey District: Bounded towards the north-west by the Coroglen-Tapu Road, 220 links; towards the east by Black Swan Creek; and towards the south-west by Crown land, 190 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 31 acres 2 roods, more or less, being portion of Provisional State Forest Reserve 1628, Block XVI, Mahinapua Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. X/98/58, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and fifty-four of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any lands within any mining district to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-fifty-fourth section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Monday, the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and fifty-three of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.-OTAGO MINING DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bruce County.-Table Hill Survey District.
Sections 9 and 33, Block IV : Area, 89 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value, Β£75. Half-yearly rent, Β£1 10s.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared to be a Government road: 1 acre 0 roods 24 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Crown land and Te Awaiti 1B2BlB Section l Block.
Situated in Block XV, Waihou Survey District, and Block III, Waitoa Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 25808.)

Increasing Borrowing Powers of Napier Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of October, 1931.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the said Act, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the Gazette on the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at pages 334 and 335, the powers of the Napier Fire Board to borrow moneys were extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of twenty thousand pounds:
And whereas application has been made by the said Napier Fire Board for further extension of borrowing powers, and it is desirable to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one, and doth hereby declare that the powers vested in the said Board by the said section thirty-one may be exercised so that the total amount of money so borrowed and for the time being unpaid may exceed the sum of ten thousand pounds, but so, nevertheless, that save in the case of a loan raised for the purpose of paying off a previous loan, the powers vested in the said Board by the said section thirty-one shall not be so exercised that the total amount of money so borrowed and for the time being unpaid exceeds at any time the sum of thirty-five thousand pounds:
Provided that no moneys shall be borrowed under the authority hereby conferred except subject to the provisions of the said Act.
