A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken
for the purposes of a lighthouse; and I do also declare that
this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifth day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 27 acres
3 roods 10 perches.
Being Portion of Sections 1 and 2, Parangarahu No. 1A Block.
Situated in Block VIII, Pencarrow Survey District. (S.O.
2685.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82473,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of
September, 1931.

section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron
Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim as closed, the portions of road in Waiwera
Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia,
that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land
has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-
General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become
Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act,
1909, and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Charles, Baron
Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the
Schedule hereto has become Crown land.

Declaring Road-lines intersecting Land in Rosewill Settlement,
Canterbury Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised
therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-
General, from which it appears that the roads de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and
that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land
for Settlements Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as "the
said Act"), and are not suitable to the subdivision of such
land:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and
six of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby close the roads
hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the land
comprised in the said roads shall thereupon become subject
to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-
one of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal
under the section of the Act mentioned.
