Motor-registration Plates.
ALTERNATIVE tenders will be received at the office of
the Registrar of Motor-vehicles up to noon on Wednesday, the 23rd September, 1931, for the manufacture of motor-registration plates for one, three, and five years.
Conditions and specifications may be seen at any Chief Post-office.
Tenders to be addressed to the Registrar of Motor-vehicles, General Post Office, Wellington. The envelopes to be marked "Tender for the Manufacture of Motor-registration Plates."

Education Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 26th August, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2.30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, 30th September, 1931, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Waimarino County.—Kaitieke Survey District.
SECTION 2, Block IX : Area, 1,130 acres. Upset annual rental, £120.
Improvements consist of dwelling of four rooms, wool-shed and implement-shed, sheep and cattle yards, dip, and 674 chains of boundary and internal fencing.
This section is situated on the left bank of the Retaruke River, sixteen miles from Raurimu Railway-station by metalled and pumiced road. Approximately 120 acres are ploughable, the balance being undulating to hilly and broken. With the exception of two acres of shelter bush, the whole area has been felled and sown, but about 550 acres has reverted to fern and second growth. The value of the improvements is included in the capital value of the land. The section is permanently watered by streams. Altitude is 1,300 ft. to 1,600 ft. above sea-level.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections will be offered for lease by tender under the provisions of the Hanmer Crown Leases Act, 1928, tenders closing at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, at 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 2nd October, 1931.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—AMURI COUNTY.
Lyndon Survey District.—Hanmer Township.
SECTIONS 8 and 9, Block III: Area, 3 roods 24 perches.
Loaded with £1,590, for improvements consisting of nine-roomed residence, five-roomed house, detached buildings, and fencing, &c., to be paid in cash by a deposit of £190 on acceptance of tender, and balance (£1,400) within thirty days thereafter.
The property is situated on the corner of Amuri Road and Harrowgate Street in Hanmer Township, and directly opposite the Queen Mary Sanatorium. The buildings (particulars of which follow) are capable of conversion for use as a boarding-house, for which purpose they are admirably situated. The buildings comprise—
