resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the thirteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz. :-
" The Christchurch City Council, having control of Nursery Road, in the City of Christchurch, hereby by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the portion of the west side of the said road fronting the land contained in Certificate of Title, Vol. II, folio 48 " ; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Nursery Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of forty feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Nursery Road, fronting part Rural Section 175. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82207, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Southern Side of Portion of Drummond Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of August, 1931.
Present:
His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, viz. :-
" The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that part of the southern side of Drummond Street fronting Lot 6, D.P. 4694 " ; such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
THE southern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Drummond Street, fronting Lot 6, D.P. 4694. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 81422, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of Hastings Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

" That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to portion of the south-eastern side of Hastings Street, in the said City of Dunedin, where such portion of street abuts on part Lot 8, McKenzie's Subdivision, as the said portion of street is more particularly shown on the plan annexed hereto, and is thereon coloured brown and edged with red to its centre-line " ; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Hastings Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Hastings Street, fronting part Lot 8, McKenzie's Subdivision. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 82206, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured brown and edged red.

Opening Lands in the Auckland District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Friday, the twenty-fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Whakatane County.-Rotoma Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for a period of four years.)
SECTION 6, Block IV : Area, 470 acres. Capital value, £470. Half-yearly rent, £9 8s.
Weighted with £380 for improvements.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Whakatane County.-Waihi South Survey District.
National-endowment Land.
Section 5, Block XII : Area, 1,299 acres 0 roods 12 perches. Capital value, £325. Half-yearly rent, £6 10s.
Weighted with £135 for improvements.
Waitomo County.-Pakaumanu Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for a period of five years.)
Section 1, Block XV : Area, 504 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £150. Half-yearly rent, £3.
Weighted with £175 for improvements.
Rotorua County.-Rotoma Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for four years.)
Section 6, Block II : Area, 550 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £140. Half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Weighted with £232 10s. for improvements.
