Classification of Roads in Waipawa County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Andrew Veitch, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Waipawa County, shall belong to the respective class of roads shown in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
WAIPAWA COUNTY.
Roads classified in the Second Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 10 tons.
Main Highway No. 15, Wellington-Napier. All that portion within the Waipawa County.
Main Highway No. 32, Waipawa-Tikokino.
Main Highway No. 33, Waipawa-Ongaonga.
Takapau Township.
Tamumu Road, Waipawa, to Old Riverbed.
Roads classified in the Third Class: Available for the use thereon of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons.
Main Highway No. 339, Fernhill-Takapau. All that portion within the Waipawa County.
Main Highway No. 415, Waipukurau-Matamau. All that portion within the Waipawa County.
Aorangi Road, via Oruawharo to Main Takapau Road.
Ashley-Clinton Road to Ashley-Clinton Store.
Blackburn Road to Blackburn Post-office.
Black’s Road, Clinton.
Fairfield to Ashcott.
Fairfield Road to Sherwood.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-order and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for “Blue and Gold Sweepstakes,” Melbourne.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the organizations and persons, whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder, are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said organization or persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said organization or persons (either by its or their own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the address “443 Bourke Street, Melbourne,” without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Portion of Mohaka Consolidation Scheme confirmed.
In the matter of Section 6 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1923.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme of consolidation (in part) dated the 26th day of June, 1931, dealing with the Tutaekuri Blocks as set out in the Mohaka Consolidation Scheme, having been prepared by the Native Land Court in accordance with the above-mentioned Act, and submitted under the seal of the said Court to the Native Minister for his approval, I, Apirana Turupa Ngata, as such Native Minister, being satisfied that the scheme so submitted is just and equitable and is in the public interest, do hereby confirm the portion of the said scheme of consolidation which was so submitted on the 26th day of June, 1931.

I, WALTER HAROLD FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the affairs of the Wairarapa Progress League (Incorporated) have been wound up, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the Survey Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors Boards, will conduct an examination of candidates for registration as surveyor, commencing at 10 a.m. on Monday, 21st September, 1931, at Wellington.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Monday, 7th September, and that the examination fee as undernoted must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates sitting for the first time will be accepted at this examination, and must sit in Wellington.
Candidates completing former sittings may sit in other centres where there is a Chief Surveyor’s office, on payment of an extra fee of £1 1s. in addition to the ordinary fees which are as under:—
Completing in one or two compulsory subjects, fee of £1 1s. per subject.
Examination in all subjects, fee of £5 5s.
