Settlement Land in Gisborne Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Gisborne, 13th July, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925;
and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Gisborne, up to 2 o'clock p.m. on Friday, 14th
August, 1931.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Friday,
14th August, 1931, at 2 o'clock p.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.-FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Wairoa County.-Ardkeen Settlement.
Lot 1 of Section ls: Area, 87 acres 1 rood 24 perches.
Capital value, £270. Half-yearly rent, £6 15s.
Weighted with the sum of £300, for improvements com-
prising four-roomed house (32 ft. by 24 ft.), small porch, pantry,
bathroom (no bath), double brick chimney, range, two tanks
(covered in stand). Good solid building in need of renovating
and painting. This sum is payable by forty-two half-yearly
instalments of £11 14s. Eighty chains of fencing, valued at
£180, is included in the capital value.
Section formed the "homestead-site" of Section ls.
Situated just off the main Wairoa-Waikaremoana Road,
about fifteen miles and a half from Wairoa. Light pumiceous
undulating land, mostly ploughable, in fair pasture, and well
watered. The Department proposes to expend £50 on repairs
to the building.
Full particulars may be obtained from the Commissioner of
Crown Lands, Gisborne.
