MANAWATU-OROUA RIVER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

No. 2 Separate Loan, 1930, £1,200.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Manawatu-Oroua River Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua River Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for acquisition of land, for stop-banking, river-protection works, flood-gates, fencing, and planting, the said Manawatu-Oroua River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one shilling (1s.) per acre on all rateable property of the No. 2 Separate Area of the Manawatu-Oroua River Board’s District, as shown on the map of the Moutere and Mount Robinson Survey Districts, signed by F. C. Hay, Civil Engineer, and deposited in the Board’s Office, and therein coloured red.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring one during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid, and commencing from the 1st day of August, 1931.

I hereby certify the above to be a true copy of resolution passed this day by the Board. Dated at Palmerston North, 3rd July, 1931.

THE GISBORNE SHEEP-FARMERS’ FROZEN MEAT AND MERCANTILE COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE TO HOLDERS OF BEARER DEBENTURES COMPRISED IN THE SERIES OF £300,000 BEARER DEBENTURES ISSUED BY THE COMPANY.

In the matter of The Gisborne Sheep-farmers’ Frozen Meat and Mercantile Company, Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the holders of debentures of the above-named company constituted by Trust Deed dated the 21st day of June, 1921, and made between the said company of the one part and New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, as Trustee of the other part, will be held at the company’s office, Customhouse Street Gisborne, on Thursday, the 23rd day of July, 1931, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of considering, and if thought fit passing, extraordinary resolutions:—

  1. That the date for the payment of the principal sum secured by the debentures be extended to the 31st day of August, 1941.

  2. That as from the 1st day of September, 1931, the interest payable under the debentures shall be £6 10s. in place of £7 10s. per centum per annum, and that this company shall be freed from the obligation to pay any tax in respect of such debentures.

  3. Agreeing to exchange (on or after the 31st August next) the existing debentures for new debentures in conformity with the resolutions passed at this meeting.

  4. Authorizing the New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, to agree with this company as to the persons from time to time to act as directors of the Gisborne Refrigerating Company, Limited, and/or Gisborne Lightering-Stevetoring Company, Limited.

  5. Authorizing the New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, to act under the provisions contained in the Supplementary Trust Deed placed before this meeting as regards the determination of the leases of the Kaiti Works in terms of those leases.

  6. Authorizing the New Zealand Insurance Company, Limited, to enter into a Deed with this company modifying the existing Trust Deed to conform with the above resolutions and/or any other resolutions passed at the meeting and accepted by this company.

“That, as it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue in business, it is advisable to wind up the said company, and that GEORGE OSWALD SUTTON, of Wellington, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator of the said company.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between FRANK HOPKINS GRUAR, of Wellington, Company Director, and VINCENT WOODS, of Auckland, Battery Repairman, carrying on business at 109 Albert Street, Auckland, was dissolved by mutual consent, as from the 1st day of June, 1931.

The business will continue to be carried on by the said Vincent Woods, at the same address as heretofore, and all amounts due to the late Partnership are to be paid to the said Vincent Woods, and all accounts due by the said Partnership are to be paid by the said Vincent Woods.
