Probationary Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant John George Hilliard, transferred to the Executive Branch as Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), with seniority of 19th June, 1929.
Charles George Palmer, Leading Seaman, Official Number 1286, promoted to the rank of Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), to date 19th June, 1931.
Acting Petty Officer Arthur Duncan Honi Ralph-Smith, Official Number 1274, promoted to the rank of Probationary Sub-Lieutenant, R.N.V.R. (N.Z.D.), to date 19th June, 1931.
Petty Officer Robert Clyo Renner, Official Number 1130, promoted to the rank of Probationary Paymaster Sub-Lieutenant, to date 19th June, 1931.

N.Z. STAFF CORPS.
Colonel J. H. Whyte, D.S.O., D.C.M., is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (a). Dated 30th June, 1931.

THE MANAWATU MOUNTED RIFLES.
Lieutenant H. L. Andrews resigns his commission on appointment to the Royal Air Force. Dated 26th June, 1931.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Major W. F. Stilwell, M.C., v.d., Commanding 1st Field Brigade, to be Lieut.-Colonel. Dated 19th June, 1931.
Captain H. McK. Dow, 18th Medium Battery, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b). Dated 23rd June, 1931.
Lieutenant L. S. Davis, 6th Field Battery, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 26th June, 1931.

CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.
Captain (temp. Major) W. A. Gray, M.C., 1st Field Company, to be Major. Dated 1st April, 1931.

N.Z. INFANTRY.
The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).
Ronald Sydney Stacey to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to the 5th Cadet Battalion. Dated 19th June, 1931.

The Waikato Regiment.
Lieutenant T. H. Sissons (Retired List) to be Lieutenant, and is posted to the 2nd C Battalion. Dated 5th June, 1931.
Second Lieutenant H. D. Lash, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 4. Dated 19th June, 1931.

The Wellington West Coast Regiment.
Lieutenant J. T. Shaw, 1st C Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 24th June, 1931.

The Hawke's Bay Regiment.
Clarence Gillard Frazer to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 4th C Battalion. Dated 1st November, 1930.

The Canterbury Regiment.
Captain C. L. Brock, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment. Dated 22nd June, 1931.

The Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment.
Captain C. L. Brock, from the Canterbury Regiment, to be Captain, with seniority as from the 17th February, 1930, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 22nd June, 1931.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Lieutenant A. B. Jameson, M.B., 1st Field Ambulance, to be Captain. Dated 23rd June, 1931.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.
General List (Class I).
Major-General Sir Edward W. C. Chaytor, K.C.M.G., K.C.V.O., C.B., v.d., is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 28th February, 1931.

IT is hereby notified that, pursuant to the provisions of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912, and the regulations thereunder, the undermentioned persons have been elected as members of the Plumbers Board of New Zealand by the Federated Association of Master Plumbers and the Federated Association of Journeymen Plumbers, respectively, as from the 30th June, 1931.

Fixing Date on which certain Returns under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, are to be furnished to the Cambridge and Newmarket Fire Boards.

PURSUANT to section 28 of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, it is hereby notified that the returns, showing the total gross amount of the premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31st December, 1930, in respect of insurances held by such companies within the Cambridge and Newmarket Fire Districts shall be transmitted to the Board concerned in the manner prescribed by the said section on or before the 12th day of August, 1931.
