CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Lands in the North Auckland and Auckland Land Districts forfeited.
Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, 1st July, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolutions of the Land Boards of the respective land districts, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

Revoking Forfeiture of Land in North Auckland Land District.

Wellington, 29th June, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the notification of forfeiture of lands in the North Auckland Land District, dated 1st day of December, 1930, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th December, 1930, at page 3717, is hereby revoked in so far as it affects Section 42, Block VI, Hohoura East Survey District, formerly held by C. F. E. Blucher under O.R.P. License No. 5655.

Education Reserve in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 30th June, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Tuesday, 11th August, 1931, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Township of Featherston.
SECTION 120: Area, 5 acres. Upset annual rental, £9.
This section, which is level and in English grasses, is situated at the corner of Watt Street and Domain Road, half a mile distant from Featherston Railway-station. Small stream runs through section. Soil of heavy loam. Featherston town water-supply is available in addition to the aforementioned stream.
Improvements.—Improvements included in capital value consist of felling, grassing, stumping, and fencing.
Form of lease may be perused and full particulars obtained from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Wellington.

Land in the Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 30th June, 1931.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 24th August, 1931.
The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 26th August, 1931, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.
The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the examination of applicants.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.
SECTION 24, Block IX: Area, 186 acres 3 roods. Capital value, £560. Deposit on deferred payments, £30; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £17 4s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £11 4s.
Weighted with the sum of £470, for improvements consisting of felling, grassing, fencing, bridge, and hay-shed. This sum is payable in cash, or by a cash deposit of £70, and the balance of £400 secured on instalment mortgage for a period not exceeding 36½ years, and bearing interest at 5 per cent. per annum if purchased by a discharged soldier or 5½ per cent. if purchased by a civilian.
This property is situated on the right bank of the Hikimutu Stream, twelve miles by metalled and pumiced road from Taumarunui Railway-station. Approximately 20 acres of this section are ploughable; the balance being undulating to hilly. The section lies well to the sun, but frontage is broken by a deep creek. About 130 acres are in grass; the balance being in fern and second growth. Soil of a light-quality loam resting on papa formation. Well watered. Altitude 900 ft. to 1,100 ft. above sea-level.
