In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of SONORA SALES, LIMITED (in Liquidation):

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the registered office, Civic Chambers, 213 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 25th June, 1931, at 7.30 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having the account of the Liquidator, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, laid before such meeting, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of members of the above-named company held on the 8th day of June, 1931, it was resolved :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that ARTHUR BUSHELL, of Ashburton, Accountant, be appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up,”

Particulars of all claims against the company must be forwarded to the Liquidator at his address, Tancred Street, Ashburton (Box 73), on or before the 22nd day of June, 1931, otherwise the same will not be recognized.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of MEN’S WEAR, LIMITED, a Private Company incorporated under the above Act.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 26th day of May, 1931, at a meeting of the shareholders of the above company, the following extraordinary resolution was passed in the manner provided by section 168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908 :—

“ That it is proved to its satisfaction that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that R. Y. COLLINS, of Wellington, New Zealand, Public Accountant,

be and is hereby appointed Liquidator of the company for the purpose of such winding-up, at a fee to be subsequently arranged.”

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £360, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling Stokes’ and Head’s Roads, the said Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fourths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Stokes’ and Head’s Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Matamata County included within the following boundaries : Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 3 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate of 1/3 and 10 Horahora Block by a line travelling towards the east and south-east generally by the Waikato River to the Whangae-petiki Stream ; towards the south generally by the Whangae-petiki Stream to the north-eastern corner of Section 14 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate ; towards the south-east and again toward the south-west generally along the eastern boundaries of Section 14 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, and Section 7 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, to a public road ; towards the north-west by a right line to a public road, the said right line being so drawn as to include 99 acres 0 roods 8 perches of the northern part of Section 7 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, within the special-rating area ; thence across the said public road by a right line to the eastern boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 13662 of Lot 2 on D.P. 11747 of Section 9 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate ; towards the south-west generally and again toward the south-east to Survey Peg XXXVA ; toward the west by a right line to the western boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 13662 of Lot 2 on D.P. 11747 of Section 9 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, the said right line being so drawn as to include 61 acres 2 roods 5 perches of the northern portion of Lot 2 on D.P. 13662 of Lot 2 on D.P. 11747 of Section 9 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, within the special-rating area ; toward the north generally along the western boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 13662 of Lot 2 on D.P. 11747 of Section 9 on D.P. 7038 to the boundary of Section 2 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate ; towards the south and again towards the west by the southern boundary of Section 2 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, to a public road ; towards the north along the eastern boundary of the said public road to Survey Peg CLXXIV ; toward the north-west by a right line across the said public road to the south-western corner of Section 8 on D.P. 7038 of Horahora Estate ; towards the north and north-east generally, and again towards the north-west generally by the western boundary of Section 8 on D.P. 7038 of Horahora Estate, and the southern and western boundaries of Section 3 on D.P. 7038, Horahora Estate, to the point of commencement : And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
