Roads classified in the Fifth Class: Available for the use thereof of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 2½ tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 4½ tons:—

Classification of Roads in Springs County.


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Motor-lorry Regulations, 1927, and their amendments, I, William Burgoyne Taverner, Minister of Transport, do hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Springs County, shall belong to the respective class of roads shown in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

Roads classified in the Second Class: Available for the use thereof of any motor-lorry (other than a multi-axled motor-lorry) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 8 tons, or any multi-axled motor-lorry which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 10 tons:—

Warrant in Terms of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, and Motor-omnibus (Constructional) Regulations, 1929, approving of the “Warner” Motor Direction-indicator for use on Motor-vehicles.


IN terms of Regulation 2 of the Motor-vehicle (Supplementary) Regulations, 1928, and Regulation 8, clause (5), of the Motor-omnibus (Constructional) Regulations, 1929, I, William Burgoyne Taverner, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the device known as the “Warner” motor direction-indicator, for fitting to and use on a motor-vehicle in terms of paragraph (b), clause (2), Regulation 12, of the Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1928, and clause (5) of Regulation 8 of the Motor-omnibus (Constructional) Regulations, 1929: Provided that and so long as the said device is fitted to a motor-vehicle so that a right-turn indication and a left-turn indication and a half-right-turn indication and a half-left-turn indication are given from approximately the same place on the off-side of the vehicle near the driver’s seat; and provided that and so long as the said device is identical in effect, make, construction, and design with the sample thereof deposited in the offices of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Defence Rifle Clubs amalgamated.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General is respectfully advised to approve, under section 43, Defence Act, 1909, of the amalgamation of the Okato Defence Rifle Club with the New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club, and that the combined clubs be designated as follows:—

New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at New Plymouth. Dated 1st June, 1931.
