THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said Club”),
doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the
admission of persons to that part of the Greymouth Race-
course situated in the district of Greymouth, and known as
the Greymouth Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used
or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of
    the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.
  2. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing
    club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed
    to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act,
  3. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded
    from the racecourse above described while the same is used
    or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
    (a) Bookmakers.
    (b) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and book-
    makers’ agents.
    (c) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any
    racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New
    Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or else-
    where if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Con-
    ference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or
    the New Zealand Trotting Association.
    (d) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually con-
    sort with thieves or persons who have no lawful
    visible means of support.
    (e) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking
    or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing
    counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving
    stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or
    crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and
    also idle and disorderly persons, rogues, and vaga-
    bonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the
    Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted
    of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
    Provided always that the executive committee appointed
    by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied
    by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person
    who by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of
    this regulation, should have relief from the effect thereof,
    may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any
    time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person,
    and without assigning any reason for such revocation.

The foregoing regulations of the Westland Racing Club
were made and passed by such club on the 16th day of May,
1931, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE partnership heretofore existing between us as Manu-
facturers’ Agents under the style of “Gill and Clarke,”
has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 22nd day
of May, 1931.

NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF ATTORNEY AND
CHANGE OF ADDRESS.

NOTICE is hereby given that WALTER JOHN PALLOT,
of Napier, Public Accountant, has been appointed
Attorney for the Hawke’s Bay District for the Northern
Assurance Company, Limited, and that the locality of the
office is situated in Herschall Street, Napier.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company duly convened and held
at the registered office of the Company, Thames Street,
Oamaru, on Monday, the 4th May, 1931, the following special
resolution was duly passed; and at a second extraordinary
general meeting duly convened and held at the same place on

Monday, the 25th May, 1931, was duly confirmed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
R. Finch, of Oamaru, Public Accountant, be appointed
Liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of members of
Van Osselaer and Morrison, Limited, held on the
25th day of May, 1931, the following resolution was duly
passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
ARTHUR STEWART, of Christchurch, be and he is hereby
appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”
