Payment of Bonus on Deer Tails in South Island.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 27th May, 1931.
IT is hereby notified that all tails of deer destroyed in the South Island and presented for payment of the tail bonus must contain the tail bones or at any rate the last one of the tail bones (Coccygeal vertebrae).
A tail bonus of 2s. 6d. will be paid on Virginian deer destroyed on Stewart Island as on and from 1st June, 1931. As on and from the 1st July, 1931, the tail bonus on other deer, chamois and thar, destroyed in the South Island will be 1s. 6d. Tails should be sent to any of the following Officers, who will arrange payment:—

Notice to Mariners No. 18 of 1931.

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—FOVEAUX STRAIT.—BLUFF HARBOUR.
(1) Alteration of Light. (2) Exhibition of Light.
Position: Lat. 46° 37′ S., long. 168° 20′ E. (approx.).
Details: (1) On the 15th June the orange light exhibited from the light-vessel will be altered to show blue ahead and orange astern.
(2) In conjunction with this change a green light will be exhibited from the western yardarm of the flag-staff at Stirling Point when it is ebb stream in the channel. No light will be exhibited from the yardarm when the flood stream is running.
