CONDITIONS.

  1. LICENSES to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill on payment of a license fee of £2 2s., in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and regulations thereunder and this notification: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.
  2. No licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.
  3. Nothing in any license to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, nor shall authorize the holder thereof to enter any State forest for the purpose of taking or killing red-deer stags and hinds without the consent of the Conservator of Forests, Invercargill, first had and obtained.
  4. Any person committing a breach of any of these conditions is liable, on conviction, to a fine of £20.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern shore of South Fiord, Lake Te Anau, being the production of a line running between Spire Peak and Mount Maury; thence easterly and southerly along the shore of Lake Te Anau to the Waiau River; thence down the Waiau River to Lake Manapouri; thence along the eastern shore of Lake Manapouri to the outlet of the Waiau River; thence down the Waiau River to its confluence with the Monowai River; thence up the Monowai River to the outlet of Lake Monowai; thence along a right line running due north to a point due east of Knoll Peak; thence along a right line to Oblong Hill; thence southerly along the summit of the watershed, passing through The Hump to a point due west of the head of Te Waewae Bay; thence to and along that line to the sea and by the sea to Breaksea Sound; thence up Breaksea Sound to the head of Broughton Arm; thence along a right line to Mount Crowfoot; thence along a right line to Mount Gladstone; thence along a right line to the western arm of Lake Manapouri; thence by western and northern arms of Lake Manapouri to Freeman Burn; thence up Freeman Burn to its source; thence along a right line to Spire Peak; thence along a right line passing through Mount Maury to the South Fiord, Lake Te Anau, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

No. License to take or kill Imported Game (Deer).

, of , having this day paid the sum of £2 2s., is hereby authorized to take or kill red-deer stags and hinds within that portion of Southland Acclimatization District, described in the endorsement hereon, from the 2nd day of March, 1931, to the 30th day of April, 1931 (both days inclusive), subject to the provisions of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, and all regulations and notifications affecting red-deer stags and hinds made thereunder and in force within the said district.

This license does not authorize the holder thereof to take or kill red-deer stags or hinds on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, nor does it authorize the holder thereof to enter any State forest for the purpose of taking or killing red-deer stags and hinds without the consent of the Conservator of Forests, Invercargill, first had and obtained.

Notifying Land in the North Auckland Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 8th December, 1930.
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I hereby notify that the undermentioned land, being the land known as Whakata Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act as from the 8th August, 1930.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WHAKATA SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 507 acres 3 roods and 18 decimal 3 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on D.P. 4445 and Lot 2 on D.P. 4598, being part of Section 2 of Block XIII, Matakoho Survey District, parts Sections 3 and 4, Block XVI, Tokatoka Survey District, and part of Allotment 56 and the north-west and south-east portions of Allotment 57, Parish of Matakoho, comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 159, folio 196, and part of the land on D.P. 4445, being portion of Section 1 of Block III, Te Kuri Survey District, comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 220, folio 194, bounded on the north by Lot 3 on D.P. 4598, and on the east generally, south, and west by public roads. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 21/149/214, and deposited under No. 2451 in the Head Office of the Lands and Survey Department, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.

WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown upon the plan of Town of Redcastle, affecting parts of Sections 18, 20, and 23, in Block I, Oamaru Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential purposes, that Lismore Street shown therein should be of the width of 66 ft.: Now, therefore, I, Ethelbert Alfred Ransom, Minister of Lands, do hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by section 17, subsection (1), of the Land Act, 1924, and of every other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such road of a width of 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause to be erected any buildings at a less distance than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand in connection with Brisbane Citizens Military Band Art Union.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having reasonable ground for supposing that the organization and person whose names and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of the said organization or person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said organization or person (either by its or his own or any fictitious or assumed name) or addressed to the address in the Schedule hereunder .without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
