BOUNDARIES OF OPAKI RIDING.—COUNTY OF MASTERTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded on the west and north generally by the county boundary, hereinbefore described, from the south-western corner of Section 50, Block IV, Tiffin Survey District, to a point in the middle of the Kopuaranga River in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 50, Block V, Kopuaranga Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the easternmost corner of the said Section 50; thence along the north-western boundaries of Sections 88 and 86 and the north-western boundaries of Sections 86 and 84, Block V aforesaid, the south-western boundaries of Sections 82, 80, and 78, Block IX, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the north-western boundary of Section 39, Block IX aforesaid, to the Kopuaranga River; thence down the middle of the said Kopuaranga River to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 20, Block IX aforesaid; thence to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Ruamahanga River; thence down the middle of that river to its intersection with the Masterton—Te Ore Ore Road; thence westerly along that road to the Borough of Masterton, hereinbefore described; thence generally northerly, westerly, and southerly along the borough boundary to the Wellington—Wairarapa Railway line; thence south-westerly along that railway-line to the road forming the northern boundary of Section 50, Block IV, Tiffin Survey District; thence along that road to the north-western corner of the said section; thence southerly along the western boundary of that section to the county boundary, the place of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF TE WHITI RIDING.—COUNTY OF MASTERTON.

All that area in the Wellington Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of Gordon Street and Te Ore Ore Road; thence easterly along that road and the Masterton—Taueru Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 5, Block VI, Otahoua Survey District; thence along the eastern boundary-line of the said Section 5 to the Taueru River; thence to and down the middle of that river to the county boundary; thence generally south-westerly and north-westerly along the county boundary to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 50, Block IV, Tiffin Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the north-western corner of the said Section 50; thence along the road forming the northern boundary of the said Section 50 to the Wellington—Wairarapa Railway line; thence northerly along that railway-line to the boundary of the Borough of Masterton, hereinbefore described; thence easterly and northerly generally along the borough boundary to the intersection of Te Ore Ore Road and Gordon Street, the place of commencement.

Notifying Land in the Auckland Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, I hereby notify that the undermentioned land, being the land known as Nelson Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Act as from the 10th March, 1931.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON SETTLEMENT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 159 acres 2 roods 21 perches, more or less, being Lots 2, 3, and 4 on plan 23285, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being subdivision of part of Allotments 190, 191, 192, 202, and 205, Pukekura Parish: Bounded towards the north by Lot 5 on plan 23401, deposited as aforesaid, 6842·4 links; towards the east generally by a public road, 2114·4 and 352·7 links; towards the south by a public road, 6308·3 and 83·0 links; and towards the west generally by Lot 1 on plan 23285, deposited as aforesaid, 1413·3, 1107·6, and 429·4 links, respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/149/999, deposited under No. 2486, in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

I, GEORGE WILLIAM FORBES, Minister of Customs, in exercise of the powers vested in me for this purpose by the Customs Act, 1913, do hereby revoke the appointment of all examining-places at the Port of Napier, and do by this Warrant appoint, at the said Port of Napier, the places shown in the Schedule hereto to be places for the examination by the Customs of goods subject to the control of the Customs.
