Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, as the time at which the land described in the First Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash only, and the lands in the Second Schedule for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedules hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

TOWN LAND.

(For sale for cash only.)

Taupo County.—Reporoa Township.

Section 8, Block IV: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £20.

Level section, situated in the Reporoa Township on main Reporoa—Waiotapu Road. Reporoa is situated approximately twenty-five miles from Rotorua on the main Rotorua—Taupo Road.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

FIRST-CLASS LAND.

(For sale for cash or on deferred payments.)

Raglan County.—Karamu Parish.

ALLOTMENT 22: Area, 13 acres 2 roods 32 perches. Upset price, £40.

Weighted with £12, for improvements comprising approximately 16 chains fencing. This amount is payable in cash by the selector.

Open section, situated on the western bank of the Waipa River, approximately nine miles and a half from Frankton Railway-station, eight miles and a half well formed and metalled main road (Frankton—Raglan) and one mile unformed ridge road to section.

The section is in fern and tea-tree, with gorse and blackberry, while a strip along the bank of the river is in rough grassing. All the area is ploughable.

Undulating to hilly section, the soil being alluvial along the river and a loam resting on clay formation on the hillside. There is a small clump of kahikatea saplings, suitable for sheltering stock, on the section.

Raglan County.—Karioi Parish.

Allotment N.W. 58: Area, 37 acres 0 roods 28 perches. Upset price, £40.

Situated approximately three miles from Te Mata Post-office, school, and store, and seven miles from Kauroa Sale-yards. Cream collected one mile from section. Access is from Utuwai—Te Mata Road by unformed road. Hilly section, of which approximately 25 acres standing bush; balance in fern and tea-tree. Section broken by gullies. The soil is a shallow loam resting on clay formation, and is watered by creeks.

Blackberry and ragwort require attention. Not suitable as a separate holding, but would work in well in conjunction with an adjoining section.

Tauranga County.—Katikati Parish.

Allotment 101A: Area, 20 acres 2 roods 13 perches. Upset price, £85.

Allotment 101B: Area, 34 acres 1 rood 18 perches. Upset price, £105.

Allotment 101C: Area, 29 acres 1 rood 8 perches. Upset price, £90.

Allotment 101D: Area, 13 acres 0 roods 30 perches. Upset price, £40.

Situated approximately eight miles and a half from Katikati; three miles off the main Tauranga—Waihi Highway by a formed clay road.

Section 101A comprises part dry faces and part swamp, all of which will be ploughable when cleared and drained. Section 101B comprises flat undrained swamp, covered with thick manuka, with blackberries through the scrub. Sections 101D and 101C comprise a small area of dry faces; balance swamp land, all of which would be ploughable when drained and cleared of blackberry and manuka.

The soil is part medium pumicy loam and part swamp resting on pumice formation.

Rotorua County.—Ngongotaha Suburbs.

Sections 36 and 37: Area, 2 roods 6 perches. Upset price, £45.

Sections situated in the Village of Ngongotaha, approximately eleven miles from Rotorua. Section 36 adjoins the public hall site. These sections would prove suitable for residential purposes.

Hauraki Plains County.—Wai takaruru Township.

Section 17, Block I: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £30.

Weighted with £2, for improvements comprising approximately 2½ chains fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Wai takaruru Township is situated in the Hauraki Plains on the Auckland—Thames Main Highway at the mouth of the Wai takaruru Stream and Maukoro Canal—approximately two hours from Auckland by service car. Level section, suitable as a residential site.

SETTLEMENT LAND.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Taupo County.—Reporoa Suburbs.—Reporoa Settlement.

Section 2, Block I: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 16·2 perches. Upset price, £25.

Section situated in Reporoa Township on main Reporoa—Waiotapu Road. Reporoa is situated approximately twenty-five miles from Rotorua on main Rotorua—Taupo Road. Suitable as a holding paddock.

Part Reserve 3786, Block V1: Area, 1 acre 2 roods 1·9 perches. Upset price, £140. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 4s. 6d.

Situated in Culverden Township adjoining the railway and school with frontage of 4 chains to St. Leonard's Road, and distant about 5 chains from the post-office. All open flat land suitable for building purposes. Improvements included in upset price comprise fencing valued at £5.
