“ (4) Except with the approval of the Director, no assistant teacher holding a permanent appointment in any school shall be appointed as a relieving assistant teacher in the same school.”
(4) By deleting from subclause (1) of clause 43 the column of figures with the heading “ Annual Increment.”
(5) By adding the following proviso to subclause (2) of clause 43 :—
Provided that the salaries specified in clause 43 hereof for relieving teachers of Grades A and B shall be determined as follows :—

FOURTH SCHEDULE.
MANUAL AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION.
THE regulations relating to manual and technical instruction made by Order in Council dated 20th November, 1925, and amended by Orders in Council dated 22nd August, 1927, 13th December, 1927, 14th October, 1929, and 13th January, 1931, are hereby further amended as follows :—
(1) By deleting from subclause (1) of clause 2 the words “ below Grade 3.”
(2) By deleting from subclause (1) of clause 2 the words “ two hours,” and substituting therefor the words “ one hour.”
(3) By repealing the proviso to subclause (1) of clause 2.
(4) By repealing the proviso to subsection (i) of clause 46.
(5) By deleting from the proviso to subclause (ii) of clause 46 the words “ for the conveyance of pupils to the technical schools or classes.”
(6) By adding the following subclauses to clause 46 :—
“ (iv) For approved classes in Elementary Agriculture, Dairy Work and general elementary Science there shall be paid to the controlling authority or to the managers of such classes such annual capitation allowance or annual grant as the Minister may approve for the purpose.”
“ (v) Without the prior approval of the Minister no part of the Board’s funds shall be applied to the conveyance of pupils to or from the technical school or classes.”

FIFTH SCHEDULE.
AGRICULTURAL BURSARIES.
THE regulations relating to Agricultural Bursaries made by Order in Council dated 18th December, 1924, and amended by Order in Council dated 22nd August, 1927, are hereby further amended by deleting from clause 9 (a) the words “ the amount of tuition fees payable by the holder thereof,” and substituting therefor the words “ such tuition fees as are authorized by the Minister.”

SIXTH SCHEDULE.
ENGINEERING BURSARIES.
THE regulations relating to Engineering Bursaries made by Order in Council dated 18th December, 1924, are hereby amended by deleting from clause 7 (a) the words “ the amount of the tuition fees payable by him in respect of the course taken by him with the approval of the Director,” and substituting therefor the words “ such tuition fees as are authorized by the Minister in respect of a course of study approved by the Director.”

SEVENTH SCHEDULE.
ARCHITECTURAL BURSARIES.
THE regulations relating to Architectural Bursaries made by Order in Council dated 10th December, 1928, are hereby amended by deleting from clause 7 (a) the words “ the amount of the tuition fees payable by him in respect of the course taken by him with the approval of the Director,” and substituting therefor the words “ such tuition fees as are authorized by the Minister in respect of a course of study approved by the Director.”
