KAPONGA TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
WHEREAS a loan of six thousand six hundred pounds (£6,600) borrowed by the Kaponga Town Board for Electric-lighting Works is due and payable on the 31st day of August, 1931.
And whereas it is required to raise a similar sum of six thousand six hundred pounds (£6,600) to pay off the said loan :
Now, therefore, the Kaponga Town Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (the necessary consent of the Local Government Loans Board and Order in Council having been obtained authorizing the Board to borrow), hereby resolves by way of special order :—

To borrow a loan of six thousand six hundred pounds (£6,600) for the purpose of paying off the said loan of six thousand six hundred pounds (£6,600) maturing on the said 31st day of August, 1931.

That such loan be called “The Electricity Redemption Loan, 1931.”

That the currency or term of the said loan shall be for a period of twenty (20) years, commencing on the first day of September, 1931, and maturing on the first day of September, 1951.

That for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of six thousand six hundred pounds (£6,600) the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-fifths of a penny (1⅗d.) in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Kaponga Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of October in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Paekakariki Water-supply Extension No. 2 Area Loan, 1930, £1,650.
Extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Hutt County Council at a Meeting of such Council held on the 20th day of March, 1931.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,650, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the present water-supply at Paekakariki and installing a domestic water-supply in Number Two Area, Paekakariki, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence and forty-four one-hundredths of a penny in the pound (2·44/100d. in the £)
