NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at Room 58, 1st Floor, A.M.P. Building, Customhouse Quay, Wellington, on Thursday, 9th day of April, 1931, at 8 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator thereof, shall be disposed of.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between LUCY MARY BRIGHT (formerly Lucy Freed) and MARY BYRNE, carrying on business as Importers of Ladies’ Gowns at 105 Dilworth Building, corner of Queen and Customs Streets, Auckland, under the style or firm of “Isobel,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 19th day of March, 1931.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by Miss Byrne who will continue to carry on the said business under the style of “Isobel.”

WHANGAMOMONA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Whangamomona County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds (£500) authorized to be raised by the Whangamomona County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose of metalling a portion of Mangare Road from its junction with Ohura Road to a point as far as the money will go, such works to include the preparation of the road to receive the metal, the said Whangamomona County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fivepence and five-sixteenths (5 5/16d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangare Road Loan 1929 of £500 Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 7, 45, 46, 47, 48, 50, 57, 167, 169, and half of Section 5, all in Block I, Mahoe Survey District; Sections 49, 51, 168, 170, and 172, all in Block XIII, Pouatu Survey District; Sections 171, 173, and 175, all in Block IV, Ngati-maru Survey District; one-third part of each and all of the following Sections, 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, all in Block XII, Upper Waitara Survey District; Sections 8, 174, and 176, and one-third part of each and all of the following Sections, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, and 6, all in Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whangamomona County Council, held on Monday, 20th October, 1930, and the Common Seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Whangamomona was affixed hereto in accordance with a resolution of the Council.
