Lands in Nelson Land District forfeited.

Wellington, 17th March, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the leases of the under-mentioned lands having been declared forfeited by the Nelson Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

LEASE No. R.L. 449: Section 4, Block XV, Kaiteriteri Survey District. Formerly held by C. G. Wilkinson. Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions.

Lease No. R.L. 270: Sections 10 and 14, Block I, Motueka Survey District. Formerly held by O. C. Wilkinson. Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions.

Lease No. L.P. 560: Section 2, Block XV, Kaiteriteri Survey District. Formerly held by C. G. Wilkinson. Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions.

Lease No. R.L. 963: Section 4, Block VIII, Howard Survey District, and Section 1, Block V, Motupiko Survey District. Formerly held by N. A. Thompson. Reason for forfeiture: Non-compliance with conditions.

Land in the Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th March, 1931.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 24th April, 1931.

The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease.

Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 28th April, 1931, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant so desires he may be examined by the Land Board of any other district.

The ballot will be held immediately on conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—THIRD-CLASS LAND.

Raglan County.—Whangape Parish.

PART Allotment 128: Area, 669 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £190. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £5 17s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £3 16s.

Dairying and grazing property situated on the Woodleigh-Tuakau Road, approximately two miles from Woodleigh Post-office; school adjoining. Sixteen miles from Waingaro Saleyards, and thirty-five miles from Ngaruawahia. One hundred acres standing bush and 150 acres level to undulating land, of which approximately 30 acres is in good pasture, 60 acres in worn-out pasture, and 60 acres in fair pasture. A little blackberry and ragwort. Rabbits require attention. Well watered by creeks and springs.

Weighted with £810, for improvements comprising dwelling of five rooms, in fair order, wool-shed, implement-shed, half-share in 440 chains boundary-fencing; 300 chains subdivisional fencing, felling and grassing. This amount is payable in cash or by a cash deposit of £10, the balance to be secured (to a civilian) on mortgage over a period of 34½ years with interest at 5½ per cent., payable by sixty-nine half-yearly instalments of principal and interest combined amounting to £26, or (to a discharged soldier) over a period of 36½ years with interest at 5 per cent., payable by seventy-three half-yearly instalments of principal and interest combined amounting to £24.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lands in the First Schedule hereto will be offered for sale by public auction for cash, and the land in the Second Schedule for cash or on deferred payments, at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Buildings, Wellington, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 27th April, 1931, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

Kaitieke County.—Town of Kakahi.

SUBURBAN LAND.

SECTION 20, Block V: Area, 2 roods 6·8 perches. Upset price, £5.

Weighted with £7, for improvements consisting of grassing and fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated in the Township of Kakahi, with frontage to Tio Street, half a mile from Kakahi Railway-station. All level section in grass. Light-quality soil. No water.

Kaitieke County.—Kakahi Township.

Situated in the Township of Kakahi, with frontage to Pitotahi Street, half a mile from Kakahi Railway-station. Undulating to hilly section covered with manuka scrub. Soil of a light-quality loam.

Kaitieke County.—Hunua Survey District.

Section 58, Block VI: Area, 2 acres 3 roods. Upset price, £14.

Weighted with £17, for improvements consisting of felling, grassing, fencing, two-roomed whare, and leanto. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated on the right bank of the Kakahi Stream, one mile by pumiced road to Kakahi Railway-station. A level to undulating section. Approximately 2 acres in loam. Permanently watered by streams.

Akitio County.—Pongaroa Township.

Sections 3, 5, and 6, Block V: Area, 1 acre 2 roods. Upset price, £15.

These sections are situated in Pongaroa Township, and have frontages to Rewarewa and Makomako Streets, the latter being a formed road to the frontage of Section 5. Access from Pongaroa Township, half a mile distant. Easy sloping and flat land intersected by small stream running through Section 3, with mixed growth of native shrubs and grass. Soil of fair quality on papa formation. Well watered.

Hunua Survey District.—Town of Kakahi.

Section 59, Block V: Area, 1 rood 34 perches. Upset price, £3.

Weighted with the sum of £2 5s., for improvements consisting of 7 chains of frontage and boundary fencing. This sum is payable in cash.

Situated within the Township of Kakahi, one mile from Kakahi Railway-station, by fenced road. All level section in grass and scrub.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SETTLEMENT LAND.

Borough of Palmerston North.—Loughnan Settlement.

SECTION 44: Area, 35·6 perches. Upset price, £160. Deposit on deferred payments, £10; half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £4 17s. 6d.

Situated with a frontage to Limbrick Street, Palmerston North, one mile and three-quarters from post-office. A level section, and a first-class building-site situated in a progressive area where several new houses have recently been erected. City water-supply available.

There is a board fence 330 ft. long which has apparently been erected by the owners of the adjoining sections, and the purchaser of this section may be required to contribute half-share of this fence.

Terms of Sale.

Cash: One-fifth of the purchase-money to be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, with certificate-of-title fee (£1), within thirty days thereafter.
