all rateable property of the Gould’s Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland in Blocks XVI and XII, Waitoa, and IX and XI, Aroha Survey Districts: Bounded, commencing at a point being the south-western corner of Section 6, Block XVI; towards the west by the western boundary of this section, southern, western, and for five chains eastward, northern boundary of Section 17; thence line due north across Section 16, and west to the south-western corner of Section 12, Block XII, and by the western boundary of this section for 55 chains; towards the north by a line due east to the eastern boundary of Section 12, and south along the same for 15 chains, and across Gould’s Road, and across Section 6, Block IX, by direct line through its centre to its eastern boundary; towards the east and south-east by the eastern boundary of Section 6 and of Sections 93, 94, and 95, Block XI, and south-eastern boundary of Section 96 and of Section 6, Block XVI, to the point of commencement; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Piako County Council held in Te Aroha on Monday, 8th January, 1931.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling the Waiorongomai–Maungakawa Road from Williams Corner to the end of the present metalling, also Valley Road to Buchanan’s gate, a total distance of 360 chains, the Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Valley Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland in the Maungakawa and Wairere Survey Districts: Bounded, commencing at a point on the Waitoa–Taupo Main Highway 8 chains north from the southern boundary of Section 8, Block VIII, Maungakawa Survey District; towards the west by such highway to the block Waihekau No. 2, and along the southern boundary thereof to the land on deposited plan 10028, and by the western and northern boundary of this land to the western boundary of Lot 9 on plan 17708, and by the western and northern boundary of this lot to the Waihekau Stream, which down for about 10 chains to a point distant at right-angles from the Waiorongomai–Maungakawa Road 16 chains; thence by direct line parallel with this road, and by direct line parallel with the Seddon Road 22 chains therefrom to the north-west boundary of Waihekau No. 2; towards the north-west by this boundary and road-crossing and by the north-west boundary of Waihekau No. 4 for 22 chains; towards the east by direct line parallel with the Seddon Road 22 chains therefrom to a point 10 chains from the Waiorongomai–Maungakawa Road, and by direct line thence parallel with this road to the western boundary of Waihekau No. 4B, and by such western boundary northward and the northern boundary of this block, and the same produced in direct line to the eastern boundary of Waihekau No. 3, and by this boundary to the Wairongo-mai–Maungakawa Road and west along same for 5 chains, and across such, and by the eastern boundary of Section 4, Orongomairoa, for 6 chains; thence by line parallel with the last-mentioned road to the Piranui Stream, and up same and by the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 3, Orongomairoa, to a point in the centre of such south-western boundary; thence by direct line to a point in the south-western boundary of Section 2, same block, 8 chains from the Waiorongomai–Maungakawa Road, and across the Chudleigh Road to Section 1, Orongomairoa, and by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries hereof, and such south-eastern boundary produced to the north-eastern boundary of Section 36, and by same and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 36 and 35, Orongomairoa, and the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 32, 31, and 29; and towards the south by the southern boundary of Section 29 aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Lot 1, plan 7178, part Hungahunga Nos. 1 and 2, and by such eastern boundary for 18 chains; thence by a direct line across Lots 1 and 4 of this plan parallel with the northern boundary of these lots to the western boundary of Lot 4, and by such western boundary to the southern boundary of Section 29, Orongomairoa, and by such boundary and the southern boundary of Section 30, Orongomairoa, and of the land part Hungahunga No. 1 on plan 3221, and the south-western boundary of this land to a point 15 chains from the Waiorongomai–Maungakawa Road; whence by direct line parallel with such road to the point of commencement; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, WILLIAM FRANCIS SANDIN, of Woodhill, Farmer, heretofore called and known by the name of WILLIE FRANCIS CHRISTOPHER SANDIN, hereby give public notice that on the 28th day of June, 1930, I formerly and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my Christian names “Willie” and “Christopher,” and assumed and adopted in place thereof the name of “William,” making my full Christian names and surname “William Francis Sandin”; and, further, that such change of name is evidenced by a deed poll dated the 28th day of June, 1930, under my hand and seal, duly executed by me, and attested and filed in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, on the 1st day of October, 1930, under number M. 272/30.
