of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Otago Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of, and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve, shall hereafter form part of the Queenstown Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Queenstown Domain Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 52 acres, more or less, being part of Reserve “B,” Block I, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the south-west by other part of Reserve “B,” 200 links; towards the north-west generally by a public road, the crossing of a public road, and a public road, 682 links, 1133·7 links,·1242 links, 103·5 links, and 504 links; again towards the north-west by Sections 6 and 28, Block I, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District, together with two crossings of a public road, 3751·8 links and 4146 links; towards the east by the crossing of a public road and Block XX, Shotover Survey District, 550 links; towards the south-east generally by Lake Wakatipu, 11200 links; and excepting from the above one intersecting public road 100 links wide, a deduction for which has been made from the area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2521A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Recreation Reserve in Canterbury Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of February, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be, and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Motunau Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

MOTUNAU DOMAIN.

RESERVE 4257, Block XV, Stonyhurst Survey District: Area, 21 acres 2 roods.

Recreation Reserve in Nelson Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of February, 1931.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District, described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of the Hector Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Hector Domain Board.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing 27 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 79A, Town of Hector, and bounded commencing at a point 425 links from the intersection of Greenfield and Pitt Streets, towards the north-east by a line, distance 190 links and bearing 299° 22′; towards the north-west by a line, distance 107·7 links and bearing 187° 34′; towards the south-west by a line, distance 150 links and bearing 119° 22′; and towards the south-east by a line, being the boundary of Pitt Street, 100 links bearing 29° 22′, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/703, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Regulations under Section 21 of the Surveyors Registration Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of February, 1931.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Surveyors Registration Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for the appointment of assessors and conduct of appeals under section fifteen of the said Act.

REGULATIONS.

NOTICE OF DECISION OF SURVEY BOARD.

  1. EVERY person whose application for registration has been declined by the Survey Board, or whose name has been removed from the register, or whose registration has been suspended, shall be notified by the Registrar in writing. The notice shall specify the reason for such refusal, removal, or suspension, if and so far as such reason is expressed in any resolution of the Board, and the section and subsection (if any) of the Act under which action has been taken.

BOARD OF APPEAL.

  1. Of the assessors to be appointed under section 15 of the said Act one shall be appointed by the Board, by resolution duly passed, and the other shall be appointed by the appellant, in writing, as hereinafter provided.

  2. No person shall be capable of acting as an assessor except a surveyor duly registered under the said Act.

  3. If by reason of death, sickness, removal, or any other cause the Magistrate named as provided by Regulation 8 hereof shall be unable to discharge the duties laid down in these regulations, any other Magistrate may discharge such duties in the place of the Magistrate so named.

  4. If by reason of death, sickness, removal, or any other cause the Magistrate so named as aforesaid shall not be present at the time and place fixed for the hearing of the appeal, any other Magistrate for the time being present may act in the place of the Magistrate so named, and if no other Magistrate be available the assessors may from time to time adjourn the hearing of the appeal for such period, not exceeding fourteen days, and to such place as they think fit.

  5. If by reason of death, sickness, or any other cause any assessor appointed as aforesaid shall not be present at the time and place fixed for the hearing of the appeal, then the Board or the appellant, as the case may be, shall either at the time of hearing or previously thereto make a fresh appointment of an assessor, and give notice in writing thereof forthwith to the Magistrate and to the other party, and the Magistrate may adjourn the hearing of the appeal for such time, not exceeding fourteen days, as he thinks fit.

  1. Any person wishing to appeal shall give notice in the form set out in the Schedule hereto, and shall specify therein
