A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of roads hereby stopped:- A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through 0 1 40 Lot 43, D.P. 2088, being part of Brigham's Land Claim. 0 0 11 3 Lot 32, D.P. 2088, being part of Brigham's Land Claim.

Abolishing the Hopelands Drainage District, County of Woodville.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of January, 1931.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made under the Land Drainage Act, 1904, dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seven, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seven, the area described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council was constituted a drainage district under the said Act, to be called the Hopelands Drainage District :
And whereas a period of three years has elapsed during which no trustees have held office for the said drainage district under the said Act :
And whereas it is desirable to abolish the said district :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the said Hopelands Drainage District as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Amendments to the Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Department Act, 1918.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of January, 1931.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon him by section two hundred and thirty of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), and of all other authorities in that behalf enabling him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend in manner set out in the Schedule hereto the regulations made on the fourteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-third day of the same month, at page 3460 (hereinafter called "the principal regulations"), under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Department Act, 1918, and enuring under the said Act, and doth order and declare that such amendment shall have effect from the date of publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATION 59 of the principal regulations is hereby revoked and the following substituted :-
"59. (1) Where members of a line party are detailed for duty away from headquarters and a camp is established, the following allowances may be paid :-
"Line Foreman or other workman in charge, 4s. per diem :
"Married workman, 3s. per diem :
"Unmarried workman, Is. per diem.
"(2) No allowance under clause (1) hereof shall be paid to any unmarried temporary workman with less than one year's service.
"(3) Immediately a camp is established particulars shall be furnished by the Engineer in charge of the work to the Permanent Head of the location of the camp, the probable duration of the work to be done, the names of the men to whom camp allowances are payable, and the amounts and the dates from which allowances are payable. If any married workmen are included in the party, a certificate is to be furnished to the effect that no unmarried men are available for selection.
"(4) The cost of conveyance of food and firing to a camp may, in exceptional circumstances, and subject to the approval of the Engineer in charge of the work, be paid by the Department.
"(5) Where workmen are detailed to perform duty which necessitates their absence from headquarters at night, and it
